The starting 120 module storage cap is fine for a freshly starting player, but as you progress, and get into engineering you quickly find it tight. Realistically you won't sell engineered modules ever. Powerplay modules also take up a lot of space, since once you manage to unlock one you will buy 4-6 from each, or more. I already use cheaper ships for modul storage, some of my friends have a storage fleet of nearly 100 ships. This is just ridiculous and a very inconvenient workaround we have to do.
This storage increase could be linked to a quest line, or just simply let us buy it from our ARX, I don't mind.
It would be a major QOL improvement to have for example 1200 space for new modules.
The other idea is to be able to store these extra modules in the cargo hold of your actual ships, or in your FC (assuming you have one, but lategame players who have these kind of storage issues, sooner or later will. Or this will be one more motivating factor to own one.
