Give us the Grid

I am enjoying Planet Zoo as much as the next person, but there are some aspects of the game I don't like, which makes it tedious and annoying to fully enjoy playing the game. I know that some would disagree with my suggestion, but there are many players like myself that feel this way.

Please, give us grid building for habitats!

I know that most real zoos have inorganic construction and designs to their habitats, but there are a fare few that have perfectly shaped square, rectangle, hexagon and octagon (and many more), shaped enclosures for their animals, and it would be nice if we could get the same for Planet Zoo.

I know that they're are some tricks to getting perfect geometry, but that's the part that makes it tedious and annoying. Especially when something looks skewed, but you can't exactly tell if it is or not. We already have grid based building for structures and building props, so why not go the extra few feet and give us the option to build habitats on grids?

You cam also use the grid to build an enclosure with construction pieces. There are many ways to accomplish exactly what you want. Putting the barriers on grid would probably make things more difficult.

Like others have pointed out, it is actually possible to lock barrier rotation angles both with barrier pieces and gates. For instance if you first place the gate, it will automatically orient itself toward the universal grid when selected, so when you use the z key to turn it 90 degrees before placing, you can always place each gate piece at right angles relative to the zoo entrance, and then keep adding barrier pieces with the 15, 30 and 45 degree locks to continue building in the same right angle pattern. This way you can take a path grid from your entrance, and every geometrical habitat you want to make will be compatible with both path and building grids taken from the entrance.

What bothers me, though, is that if you take the path grid from the habitat gate itself, then you can't keep placing path pieces along the side of your habitat. For some reason regular barrier pieces demand more space in between than the gate pieces of the same type. This proves to be a problem for me when I try to make small indoor habitats for animals like tortoises and monitors to be placed alongside exhibit animals to somewhat mimic larger exhibits. I really hope they will address this problem.
