Given the choice, which platform would you play on?

Hey everyone! Howdy!

Let's start by saying the hype is real right now for Jurassic Park Evolution. The gameplay teases from yesterday blew me away. As an early bird adopter of Planet Coaster, I wasn't sure exactly how 'different' this could be, but the focus on goals and achievements over creativity is a great relief to me - I'm sure none of us wanted just a reskinned Planet Coaster (but maybe expected it).

Anyway, I'm a PS4 Pro owner, and also run a relatively decent gaming laptop, which runs PC without much issue.
As someone who works from home at a desk all day, I'm generally much more likely to fire up my PS4 after a hard days work, and slouch on the coach, vs. sitting at another desk at another computer. (I know, I'm old!).

PS4 Pro Pros for me are;
  • Game will run as intended / optimised for the system
  • Can kick back on the couch and enjoy

Laptop Pros for me are;
  • Controlling with a keyboard and mouse is bound to be more intuitive right? (The Sims 4 controller scheme on console didn't sit well with me)
  • Potential for even more spectacular graphics
  • Ability to lower settings for a performance increase

Obviously the cons of each are the opposite of above. Will PS4 controls be clunky/intuitive? Will the laptop have potential performance problems?

Anyway, completely a "first world gaming" issue. But I wanted to put it up for discussion - which platform will you be preordering on, and if you have more than one platform, why did you choose the one you did?

I should end by acknowledging that I could buy two copies, which is still a possibility! ;)

I have the same problem. My Pc is just above minimum requirements and I have an Xboxone and I'm trying to decide. If steam workshop is available for modding I'd lean towards Pc but if I have to run game settings on minimum or even medium settings to avoid lag with a big park on my Hd Tv I might lean towards Xboxone. I want to be able to enjoy it at the best quality I can with being able to expand content through mods or DLC.

I'm also looking at what's easiest and more comfortable for controlling. Xbox controller is most comfortable but as people know the controllers for PC sometimes aren't setup as well. I'm not apposed to mouse and keyboard though. Mine are wireless so I can play from the couch.

The other thing I noticed is the preorder jeep and chopper skins are different based on the platform you buy it for. Looks like blue for PlayStation, orange for Steam, and green for Xbox.

I'd be curious how other people are determining the platform they are getting this for.

Already preordered on PC haha. BUT I may just get it again on PS4 if I like it enough, just so I can have that extra maneuverability that consoles provide. And if I do like it enough, well, Frontier deserves every penny then.
