Giving the more older animal models some love.

Let me start by saying that all of the animals in Planet Zoo are beautiful and are the best I've seen in any Zoo simulator game. However, some animals need a bit of love and TLC. Definitely since Frointor have improved their fur textures a lot with every new DLC.

The animals I think need a bit of love are:
  • Male Lion (imagine the lion with the new fur textures like the Binturong or the skunk. Currently the lions mane in game isn't has magnificent as they can be)
  • Malayan Tapir (I think we can all agree that it's literally just a copy of the Bairds Tapir)
  • The Giant Anteater (the tail would look incredible if it was more like the skunks. Right now, I personally think its ugly with it being one clunk)
  • Black Wildebeest (same as the Gaint Anteater)
  • Bonobo (Too similar to the chimp)
  • Timber wolf (need more fluff and colourations. Plus, they look more like a husky than a wolf)
  • Jaguar (I don't know why but the brown coloured one always looks too blury and fussy to me)
I can't think of anymore from the top of my head.

The big ones for me are:
  • The lion - just update the mane, mostly. And elongate the face a bit. It looks a little squashed
  • Grizzly bear - make it a little thinner and longer. Update the fur to have some grayish tips, as their name suggests
  • Himalayan brown bear - make it much thinner and longer. Less fluff overall
  • Timber wolf - the face is triangular. It shouldn't be. Also, needs to be a little thicker. Needs to be renamed, too. At the very least, gray wolf. But since it's a stereotypical North American wolf, then choose a suitable gray wolf subspecies, especially so that it's consistent with the other gray wolves we have (Arctic wolf and dingo)

I agree with all of this. Somehow I forgot the bears 😅 But most definitely those two need a bit of work as they are way to simular just like the Chimp and the Bonobo

at this point i dont even really want this lol, id prefer more resources dedicated to new animals and allow mods to remaster the ugly ones haha
Makes sense.
But, if they brought them I wouldn't be complaining. Theoretically, Frontier could even ask modders if they can use their models and just make them official. That'd be kinda cool

I'd like to add the Bactrian camel, too. The face looks like a dromedary, but it should actually look more like the llama

If my memory is right the size of the camel was fixed a few months ago, wasn't it? So hopefully they might fix the face too, however, personally, I don't see anything wrong with it. (Probably because I don't spend a lot of time watching them because they are so loud lol)

Oh nooo, the animal sounds are my favorite🤣

I love the loud ones especially, because I can be on 1 end of the zoo and then hear, say capuchins, chatting on the other side

Jaguar (I don't know why but the brown coloured one always looks too blury and fussy to me)
For me one of the biggest disappointed model design was the jaguar, my favorite animal IRL and I don't like how they look in the game, I've seen them a lot of times also the jaguar is one the most important animals for my culture as it is the kiwi for the NZ players

Just look at that weird face that is not imposing as the jaguar should be

Yea, it should have way more vibrant colour, not to mention how weird the fur is. I do not know what went wrong with that, but it looks weirdly blurry and too long. It is really a shame, it is my favourite cat species.

Frontier isn't good at making cat

I agree completely, it needs a lot of work. The Jaguar in my opinion is one of the prettiest big cat in RL but in the game their not
