Gladiator NXT EVO Omni Throttle How to set up as a real throttle if possible?

After removing the springs for the Y axis you have to tighten the dampener for that axis to make it stay. Take a look here. The game defaults to a bidirectional throttle I think, otherwise look at the "Throttle Axis Range" setting under Options - Controls - Ship Controls - Flight Throttle - Throttle Axis.

Hmm can't seem to have it set where its in the middle and then be able to do forward and reverse.
I can only get it to do forward but when i pull back it goes to 0 throttle.

I have mine set up as forward only - with the pinky button (joy 5) as a press-to-hold throttle reverse switch. (So throttle goes from 0 to max normally but with pinky button held it goes from 0 to max reverse.)

oh ok,mine is like that too just the pinky is used for warp.
was hoping to set the throttle for reverse and forward, while the stick is in the middle.

I guess someday ill get this when I can afford it :)

Ok cool I did tighten it a little so it doesn't just fall back or forward now :)

Coincidently this thread pops up just as I am pacing around the house, trying to figure out where I put the box of assorted springs I bought some time ago, after at long last having got around to opening up my throttle in order to see if one of those springs could be juuust strong enough to carry the weight of the grip, without too much added resistance. :7

Was hoping having a spring again, albeit much weaker, could provide a subtle sense of detent, as well...

Oh well, I'll just put the throttle back together again, and keep looking tomorrow. :p
