Glass Cockpit Support

Hello,
I am converting an old cockpit simulator to Elite D and I was wondering if the game supports using multiple monitors to create smaller display sections for things like energy, shields, comms etc? I did see that there is an Ipad app that allows for creating touchscreen keys for the game on an ipad but what about data itself?

As far as I'm aware, ED's support for multiple monitors only extends to stretching the image to fill those monitors.

if you are looking for a way to get specific data on a different screen then check out Game Glass which runs a server on your PC and allows multiple PC's, phones or tablets run different screens called shards.

Unfortunately E D doesn't cater for undocking screens etc.

Have a look in the Tools and API forum: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/forums/elite-api-and-tools/ - there are several threads where people have addressed the ability to display information. (Even EDDiscovery can offer a web-page based interface using the API data.)

You might want to check out GameGlass. It lets you connect tablets and computers to Elite via network connections. The only problem is, you can't customize what it displays, although they're supposedly working on letting you customize things in the future.
