Glassfloor walkways

I was curious if there would be glassfloor walkways and slides available when the game is completed like the ones they have over chasms and atop buildings?

I'd like to see transparent everything. Well, almost everything.

Transparent floors, walls, ceilings, tubes.

Think of large aquariums with the plexi-glass wall built into a tank or the side of lake. Or walking or riding through a tube underwater.

Transparent walls to make a item, such as a restaurant, seem like it's open-air, but the wall keeps out or in stuff you want to keep out or in.

Transparent paths that take on the texture of the ground so it seems like your guests are walking in an open field for that state fair feel.

i like the idea if transparent stuff..not sure about transparent oaths though. the game has to be anchored in some realism and if you covered grass with glass paths in time the grass would eventually die off leaving a mess. it just isn't done in theme parks. raised transparent walkway and tubes yes....would love them.

he wasnt talking about glass plates smothering the grass. the glass paths idea is for bridges and buildings... like zombieman said, transparent textures as to allow guests to walk in designated areas of "grass" or open fields. this idea of invisible paths has been discussed in many other threads. its a great idea and wanted very much.

I got the transparent tiles for bridges etc...like I said that would be great so guests could walk over say a chasm and look down and see the drop below them...but I dont get the glass/transparent paths terminoligy. A path is something that is on the ground isn't it? Do you mean something more like 'marked out' areas where guests can walk on grass rather than having to choose a path style...if not I am still confused because anything covering the ground underneath like say grass is going to kill off or flatten the grass or whatever is growing there even if it is transparent?

Better just have a system where you can put up railings or guide ropes without it painting a texture, transparent or otherwise, on the ground at all, then they can actually walk on the grass rather than on something transparent.

I am sorry - it has been a hard week at work and my mind is not really functioning I think!!

edit - I get it now....I was confused with the terminology of saying a transparent path that takes on the texture underneath...rather than a pathing option that just marks out the bounderies of a path for the guests to walk between, like guide ropes or railings, without putting anything on the ground at all....sorry - like I say - long week!!

As for coaster Tubes, I'd say make that a track type that can be attached to the other coaster track types... (That way if you want a coaster to go underwater it or through a flooded cavern or whatever, assuming we get water... Though if we do get a flowing water tool I'm hoping for "Undersea" themed items to decorate with like coral reefs, and more modern shipwrecks...)

I dont see why we shouldn't, we had similar things in RCT3 didn't we? Covered in paths with glass tubes that went underwater. Some underwater decorations.......not sure if we ever got Rollercoasters going in glass tubes underwater from the modding community though? I wasn't into the modding side of things on RCT3 after I downloaded some stuff that corrupetd my parks and ruined them....I stuck to what was in the expansion packs and vanilla after that!

I would like to bump this. There is so much you can do with glass pathing. Personally, I'd like to see both types of pathing available in glass, AND glass panels that can be used for walls and roofs.

In addition, I think it's also important to have a metal grate pathing in the above options. Again, lots of cool stuff you can do. Great (heh!) for sci-fi, industrial, and horror aesthetics. And if you set up two walls of metal grates in front of each other, you could possibly create some funky optical-illusion-esque stuff. I mention the metal grates in this topic because it's pathing you can see through.

Nice! I would like to see this too :D

Maybe extra realism: Not everyone dares to walk on things like that, some people are scared and don't walk on things like that. So maybe that some people avoid them because of they are scared?

And when there is only one way (bad for them), they run over it until the end to be as less as possible on that path/floor. Or they look very scary and walk very slowly XD

I like that idea! But maybe only if the path is more than... 3 feet up (above the terrain floor)? Because I was thinking of doing stuff like having a bottom-lit path using lights (or similar) and glass, and I don't think people would be scared of that.
