Newcomer / Intro Glitch? Thrust Backwards = Thrust Down

1. If this has already been covered, I apologize. I suck at searching forums.
2. This is me about 2 hours into this game. I'm uber-noob. I'm aware of that.



So I'm trying to get the hang of docking. I tried to set my "thrust backwards" option, but it seems to just "thrust down" instead. Am I missing something?

Just when docking, apparently

...and when I'm out in space it works fine, so it's just doing this when I'm trying to dock (aka when I need it most).

You can set Landing Overrides (for when your gear is extracted) in the control options, maybe take a look there?

You were totally right- no idea how I managed to set that accidentally.
Definitely no shortage of stuff to learn in this game when you start out
