Global rewards?

Just to check, I have read over and over about cg''s and it's just the global rewards part am jot quite understandin. A while ago I did the A Majestic Development cg. Now is global rewards granted for every goal or do u have to find them somewhere. . I was under the impression that I would receive a message if one was available. Please correct me if am wrong

There where not any as such. The best you could say is the successful construction of the cruisers was the reward.

When there is a global reward, there is a section in the statistic of the CG description above the overall progress, it tells you what global rewards have been achieved and what will be unlocked at the next tier. The confusing part is the stock text next to the reward brackets at the bottom which always say '+ global rewards' even when there aren't any.

Did you read about CGs in the guide on the active CG thread? It's also linked in my signature, if so I'll try to make it clearer.

Yeah the + global rewards appearing in the statistics section regardless of whether there actually are global rewards or not needs fixing. It's confusing even for those of us that have been around since Beta, and we know not every CG has a global reward. To new players it must be baffling.

For example, in a station construction CG, the global reward at tier 1 would be something like "New Station is Constructed", the tier 2 global reward might be "New Station has Refuel and Repair Services", and so on and so forth. Only CGs which are meant to have some permanent effect on the area, like that, have Global Rewards, so most don't.

Yeah the + global rewards appearing in the statistics section regardless of whether there actually are global rewards or not needs fixing. It's confusing even for those of us that have been around since Beta, and we know not every CG has a global reward. To new players it must be baffling.

It was worse when they used to have the potential rewards displayed on the progress bar. Every week lots of angry CMDRs where adamant they were due an extra 20 mil as a global reward, even though they had ended up in a lower reward bracket for say 1 million.

Didn't matter how hard I tried to explain you don't get 20 mil for just turning up, this was last year when that was great money, they were convinced I was wrong.

Not that I know of, only one which was not for everyone was the free ships for newbs.

I could have swore one of the early bounty hunting ones had 2 cash rewards. Maybe I'm just remembering it wrong then.

Or possibly have been a buggy CG and they had to give out rewards twice? There was all kinds of issues with CGs back then, my favorite was everyone getting paid the top contributor reward regardless of their actual standing.

In the beginnings of CGs there were rewards like extra cash or extra stock of rares, new services at stations, etc.

Thanks for the reply, not a new player but it was my 1st cg and the guide I read had said it was a reward handed to players and u could be waiting a couple of weeks before getting a message saying what it was.. my bad if I had read it wrong, I was just looking at the basics of completion as like I said it was my 1st cg. And there was Me thinking I was getting a bonus soon never mind

Might be worth the 10 minutes to have someone go in and edit the text to read +Global Awards (if any).
