Global Waterlines DLC

Mainly this is a concept for a mix of interesting animals that could use a DLC with some minor additions to the swimming part such as special animations.

Animals
North American Beaver
Asian Small Clawed Otter
Capybara
African Penguin
European Pond Terrapin (Exhibit)
Pig-Nosed Turtle (Exhibit)

All of the animals in it are ones that are waterline dwellers that have both in and out of water behaviors to allow interesting options. They also spread out between continents with 1 each, it also lets the exhibit animals share a lot of work between them. It also opens the door for reskins (and resizes) for most of them with more turtles, otters, penguins, and even the Eurasian Beaver if they want. There are also some enrichment items like beaver dams as potential things for use tied into them.

Paths
Adding in alternate support options for paths and vehicles, wooden trestles for the train and such...along with similar ones for the others. Adding alternate vehicles to some...mainly an airboat and longboat option for boat tours (All boats in a tour would be the same type). There would also be a "Dock" path type that has the appearance of crossing supports and such. Also the "floating" pathways, and glass path.

Themes
Bayou: This one is more of the everglades and bayou with the appearance of being more worn down wood structures. Think of the swamp structures that have been there for a while.
Floating Village: More of the east asian stilt and floating villages

Decor
One major idea would be to add timed water jets and similar, being able to tie it into music or other things. A more algae tinted water option. Various boats and boat parts (Ties into the floating village theme, allowing things like pontoon boat bridges or floating eating areas (I'd love the parts for making a stationary riverboat to have a restaurant in)

Nature
Duckweed: patches to put on the top of water, shouldn't prevent animals from moving through it. Driftwood of different types that are more wet in appearance to be added to exhibits. More mangrove options.

Other
Adding a Fish & Chips shop along with a photo booth (Along with a modification that can be added to vehicles with camera points and a vendor station at the exit to the ride for it that would be at stations)

Wozld love such dlc! (Although I am missing sea lion there).
They're far more on the aquatic side compared to the terrestrial side, and would probably require a salt water option for them...which would only work with them and the salt water crocodiles. A coastal pack would work rather well there while this is more of a river/stream set.

Plus I went for 1/continent for the animals

I really like this idea. Would prefer North American River Otter eventually as well, but the Small Clawed Asian Otter is also an excellent choice! Also really like the idea of a new food stall. I know they added vending machines but I'm surprised they did not add in new stalls with the DLC.

I'd considered the North American River Otter for the list, but it seemed like a better option with the Small Clawed to have more of a worldwide set of animals on the list.

Well, here's the idea for the second DLC tied to it...less global, more options with it. With several things that might heavily mix with the waterlines one. It would also be, potentially, a step towards a more aquarium type thing

The Pacific Coasts DLC
Animals
California Sea Lion
Giant Sea Otter
Pacific Walrus
Emperor Penguin
Marine Iguana (Nanus) (Exhibit)
Short Nosed Sea Snake (Exhibit)

Most of these are pacific species, and would open more for salt water as a terrain option. The main new thing would be the walrus and sea lion, though the Penguin and Otter would, largely, be reskins of ones from the Global Waterlines, they should have different enough environments and physical differences to make them interesting.

Paths
No really new paths, might include the glass one if not already present. The main thing with paths would be different forms of underwater tunnels of different designs that could use and have wall sides that can be matched to the paths used. Placement would probably be more like the vehicle rails...possibly including the conveyor paths as another path option. The upgraded tunnels would also include smaller "crawl through" versions that might be aimed at kids that could be placed with pop up areas in normal exhibits.

Themes
Polynesian styles, rather than having two main themes, this would be a larger, single theme. The look would take pieces from several of them along with more general ones.

Decor
One thing would be timed and moving lights, this would allow designs like a lighthouse or similar along with other displays. There would also be improvements in light effects underwater...potentially also with fog effects built into things. There would also be designs and things that could be used to reduce the guest dislike of things like water purification/power generation. There would also be more underwater decorations.

Nature
Kelp would be a plant with it, along with, probably, some coral that could be placed in order to decorate some of the water sections. Several of the terrains would also add wet versions such as the sands, rocks, and dirt that could be used in underwater areas...along with cement that would, largely, be for underwater areas but would have a general landscaping thing.

Map
Aloha Zoo: You have a new zoo to develop, in the campaign, you're restricted from several species until you "prove" yourself there to the local government to be allowed some of the more invasive species. It's a coastal map around a bay.

Other
Three new vendors...the first being a fruit drink vendor (Coconauts), the second being a more luau type food vendor, and the third being more of the tacky polynesian inspired gifts (Hula dancer figurines, leis, and the like). Also new research tied into the different worker types, allowing different abilities and general increases for employees (Things like the ability to swim for some, you might have vets with the ability to add inoculations for an entire exhibit at a faster pace, guards having larger general security ranges) that might have some basic ability, but also improved capability as you level them.

I would definitely also buy that second pack. Though I'd like to see some seals. I know the Sea Lion is practically a type of seal, but there's so many species I'd like to see - Weddell, Harp, Harbor, Leopard, Hawaiian Monk, Elephant. Maybe that could be a third pack. Especially Harp seals because of the seal pups.

I'm unsure of how far Frontier will go marine wise, but your two packs as well as the seals are only partially aquatic. I would think they're all possible eventually, within number of offering limits of course, they're not going to give everything, but even half of this would be great.

Yeah, the basic idea was to go for more of the partially aquatic for the species selection, largely spreading them out in order to add variety. Most of them also let things work for relatively easy reskins for other packs at later points. Having a few underwater behaviors could work well for either pack.

Seals would be an interesting way for a third pack, probably one that would be Atlantic centered

Atlantic Waters
This is more of another expansion on the previous ones in order to more expand on things using earlier options with the pacific pack, adding more to it.

Animals
Harbor Seal
Southern Elephant Seal
Northern Rockhopper Penguin
Atlantic Puffin
Marine Otter
Cuban Crocodile
Eastern Coral Snake (Exhibit)

While the seals are similar, they have some major, physical differences. The Rockhopper could actually go with either the Northern or Southern version (or just a generic, but the Northern is more endangered if you consider them different subspecies). The puffins don't actually fly that much, and are more swimmers than fliers, they can also share exhibits with some of the penguins to add some potential there...and adding cliff dwellings would be interesting. The Cuban Crocodile is more of an outlier option, I've read about them, occasionally, being encountered in Salt Water and it's highly endangered, plus it's behavior is very different from the others, being one of the more terrestrial crocodilian species. The Marine Otter is another sea otter species, which does have some atlantic range as it pretty much covers the lower portion of the south american coast. The Coral Snake adds another use of the same setup as the short nosed, while being interesting enough to be different.

Paths
Moving paths: One thing would be the powered pathways that automatically move people along them when powered. There would also be escalator options and elevators for placement in the zoos. This would both add more options and I've seen a lot of elevator mockups...plus it's an accessibility thing for appearances. Possibly add wheelchairs to the zoo with a powered scooter rental thing, potentially also going with strollers at the same time.

Themes
New World Harbor: The basic things that you see in the eastern coastal cities and villages that maintain the older looks. Also adding several decorative boat options to the decor.
Atlantis: This is a more fantastic appearance, almost an expansion of the Classical theme, but with a more mythological twist to it. It would also work to add water filled columns and similar things to make it interesting.

Decor
Water bubblers as one major piece, that would be both enrichment and interesting in appearance. Sculptures would be a major thing for the Atlantis themed stuff, with color options for various bronze, gold, patina, marble, or others to make things interesting. There might also be other options for zoo entrances beyond pedestrian ones.

Nature
More expansion for things in and around the water, including some more brackish options to decorate habitats. Tide Pool decorations/enrichment would be a thing for it. There would also be rockwork pieces to allow more ease with making larger cliffs and cliff shelters. In addition, a modification to weather in order to allow potential disasters there...stay on your toes.

Maps
Coastal Maine: A zoo connected to a smaller new england fishing village.
Gulf Island: The map would take up an island in the gulf of mexico. Might have the occasional hurricane...

Staff
One change would be themed costumes added to all themes. Most of them would be for vendors, but there would be more environmentally appropriate options in some of them such as heavier coats or the like that could be enabled for your other workers. Themed clothes would up guest happiness with the shops, clothes that match the environment would up staff happiness.

Shops
One new food option (Chowder Bowl soup shop), and a plushie shop.

Other
Speakers would add a lot more in the way of sound and music options, adding a PA system to up security.

Random Events: There would be some interesting events that pop up every year or two, they would be optional, but pretty much a way to make things interesting. Something like an animal from another "zoo" being offered to be lent for so much time as part of a breeding program, that would be sent back when the time was over. Rescue animals being on offer or free if you get an exhibit set up for them, starting in poor condition that you would need to bring up (Perhaps a negative star status, can't get rid of them until they at least zero out there, but may tend to have higher stats), find the lost kid in the zoo that wandered off (either you find them or your security does, they may have wandered off the paths...). Just some generic options that can pop up. A larger tour group that you need to deal with...
