Ok,
Been away from the forum for a while, been back a few days. Still, see this now, just about every day. Someone posting about being killed by another player in a way "they" feel is unfair/unwarranted/whatever. Believe me I am not a supporter if ganking/greifing.
Is there a significant difference between the PC community and the XBOX (me) community? I fly mostly in open, I only fly solo when the lag or disconnects when other players are around is more than I can tolerate. I have also gone to solo in bounty hunting CGs because I got frustrated fighting other Cmdrs for bounties in the only 3 res site in the system.
I've been in CGs, at engineers, I spent the whole weekend at Maia rescuing those fools who should just leave there. I saw many Player Commanders in many ships much bigger than my Python and I was not attacked once. I can count on one hand the number of times I've been attacked by another player. Is it my Deadly combat rank that saves me? (I've only been Deadly for 2 months) It certainly is not my modestly engineered Python which is my most flown ship.
Inquiring minds want to know!
Are you PC players suffering much more from this behavior than we are? Of is it I have been just lucky? I do hope the new C&P makes a difference as I would love to see more interaction with real player in Elite.
I was about to bring this up actually. I've been playing on xbox for a year and some and I've only been killed twice. I recently (2 days ago) started using eddi voice attack (well worth it btw) as I have been playing ED on pc for 3 plus years. I was killed twice in the matter of about half an hour. I understand that open is a free for all (I'm not complaining) but it just proved to me that xbox is safer in open and that's probably to do with PC being more populated. Again it's not a complaint, just a comparison from my point of view.
