Newcomer / Intro Going back to an explored system

If I am offered a new system target route on R2R route planner which takes me back using some of the previous systems I explored then do I get more exploration data and so ultimately credits for exploring it all again or does the game remember I did it and not give me the data and credits?

You can sell each kind of exploration data only once. So if you return to map a planet that you previously only scanned, you get additional credits. If you scan (or map) a planet for a second time, you get nothing.

How do I know if I have been there before?

Use the "visited stars" filter in the galaxy map:

So to keep getting exploration data to sell you can set that like this:

what does apply filter to route do?

It means the map's route calculator uses that filter (the selected boxes) in its determination.

Most useful when making long journeys and you set the star class (another drop-down) to use scoop-able stars (OBAFGKM) or if hunting earth-likes then AFGK.

This is why gamins is dying - scouting is the high risk and no profit witch worth of it. This is why people leaving this game, only "trade trucker" and minners still playing. I would love scouting the space but i would starve to die, because rewards is just stupid joke. Scouts risk all their data on board, many times 70 hours of game play or more, and rewards? LOL

I did jump to middle of galaxy it cost me one week of time every day 4-6 hours, 600 jumps, i found 4 new neutron stars and many great interesting object, my rewards at the and was 130 milions...130 milions = few hours of mining or trading....so unbalanced.

There are other reasons for playing a game beyond increasing your imaginary bank balance. Many people have been out exploring for years, I have an exploration ship that has been out there since DW2 (January) and won't reach a station for at least another four months and I'm a lightweight.

Did you really just buy a game to rack up pretend money?

Even the bubble to this day has places nobody has been, 2days play and i scratched 2 places 1st, ( yes they were empty but that not the point ) exploring is daft money, dam find a place with a couple of terrans / almost, and you make 3-4 mil. Im still really noob but once ive got my asp - maybe krait im going to the edge, exploring where others have is not exploring, just scanning stuff on your way past while on business does pay good money
