Going to jail!

What the actual Frick?
  1. do a crime.
  2. "die"
  3. Go to jail
  4. Your ship is not there, because reasons.
  5. No way to transfer one of your ships, because reasons.
  6. Take a taxi to your ship, oh wait.. where you in a planetary base, well , we gonna tell you the planet where your ship was, and now guess the base...
  7. You got your ship, good, now go to jail again with your ship to clean the bounty, because the first time you whent to jail and then lost all that time coming back to your ship was for nothing.
I don't get it. Nothing makes sense, Am I missing something?
All these things are starting to wear me out.
It's ship loadouts menus that don't allow to change loudout.
It's trying to do the most basic things like transfer ship and can't find where to do it for multiple minutes (and no option to do it on foot menus), changing modules takes a million menus because the ship loadout menu is a cruel joke.
You can trade this new materials but not those materials, and also some of these do nothing.
The bugs are one thing, but when things make no sense it kills me..
/end rant

You actually can transfer one of your ships. Just use Inter Astra, there is one in every 'foot' base I've been in.

I have not experienced what you did. Usually when I end up revived on a penal colony, I had to pay my fine\bounty to get revived. The thing is though that depending on what you were doing, you could have angered (received bounties\fines) from multiple factions. I always go to an interstellar factor to pay off fines and bounties after I start oopsing in missions. I call the ship to me instead of flying to it so I have that opportunity. Just an FYI.

I'm with you on the new UI for modules, 'they' are though working on that. And make darn sure you are careful not to sell off an engineered module. Horizons had multiple warnings, the new UI does not.

The Inter Astra service only seems to be present at the large orbiting starports that have shipyards. No shipyard, no Inter Astra, it seems.

From there, you're able to manage your fleet, rebuy a ship you might have had destroyed on the mission that got you sent to the prison (like I had last night when the base I was raiding turned hostile, destroyed my ship, my SRV then, eventually, me). You can also transfer any of your ships to your current location.

Don't get me started on the outfitting UI... They can't change it fast enough!

Your active ship is supposed to go to prison with you, but the mechanic is not working.
Bug report it.

It is? My ship (engineered DBX) was destroyed by Vipers patrolling at the base, my SRV destroyed by a Goliath and I went down in flames after the base's airwing destroyed the taxi I had just climbed into. (Apologies to Apex Interstellar and the pilot's family/loved ones). Went to the report screen and could only select redeployment on foot in the prison ship.

Couldn't see my DBX anywhere on the galaxy map so took another taxi back to the station I'd last been in before losing my ship. Went to Inter Astra and was relieved to see I could re-order my DBX!

Funny thing though: the DBX rematerialized at Jameson Memorial where all my other ships are stored and was then automatically transferred to the station I was at...

It is. But it's obviously not working as they had intended it to.
Bug report the hell out of it.

My DBX was destroyed by scavengers, and then I was killed. I was able to rebuy the ship at Inter Astra, usual normal rebuy screen from what I remember.

So are you saying it should be working differently?

No, if you're clean you won't go to jail. So in that case if your ship got 'sploded, and then you go 'sploded, then you would just rebuy and spawn at the nearest Starport.
