Gold and chrome paintjobs?

Is it the same gold or a different gold. That is the question. Dull or shiny? Light or dark? Someone have a comparison?

Frontier are doing a good job there. Just look at the engineer changes coming in less than six days.

The Black Friday pack wasn't exclusive, and has been available twice since (individually, not as a pack). There was a Gold AspX paint job given away too, I don't remember why.

I already have Chrome Cutter, yet this one is showing as available to buy....(yes, it's that easy to confuse me).

They’re different. The “gold” one is dark and reflective, kind of a gold chrome. This new version is called “golden” and is bright and has a kind of brushed metal look to it.

I don’t care either way since the Asp is terrible and I refuse to like it, mainly due to all the screenshots it ruins. It’s like most explorers are [insert_social_media] users, we don’t need to see your Asp in every picture! :D

Edit: I just saw the golden T-10...

The Gold AspX skin was a gift for early purchasers (not only pre-purchases). It was never said that it would be exclusive. The Gold, Chrome and Black paint jobs come up on the store for short periods, but it never says they are exclusive, or won't return at a latter date. (Unlike the Cobra Mk IV, which was said to be exclusive, in DBOBE's word "forever").

You bought "Chrome" and were given "Chromed" for free later. As such, the store doesn't think you have ever purchased "Chromed", which you haven't.

I'm in the same boat. Took me a few minutes of scratching my head to figure it out.

If my record-keeping is correct (No ETAs, no guarantees...):

The Gold Asp Explorer was available as a free gift for Horizons owners until Horizons became a Season Pass (05/02/2016)

The Golden Asp Explorer was later issued to all owners as a replacement for the Gold version.

This is the first time the Golden Asp Explorer version has been for sale, as far as I know.

Shame I don't like the gold paintjobs :-(

Something terrible happened to this thread...

Mods, if you are going to meddle with post order and remove random ones, it would be better to just lock the thread and be done with it. Now it just doesn't make sense.
