Just came back from a week of doing some other activities, mined void opals, the nreturned to a station with a 1.6M selling price. it is now however worth 700k.

Is the mining craze dying down now? or is it simply just a rotation of the BGS? (eg, no longer in a boom state)

anyone know of other stations to sell to if there are any?

Ahhh, I thank the both of you! EDDB didn't have this, and I didn't want to dance around again looking for low temp diamonds selling prices only to find it less than expected for opals. did not know Inara had this.

The top prices require the station owner to have all three of Civil Liberty, Investment and Pirate Attack BGS states. Pirate Attack is the rarest of the three and also the shortest-lived, so the stations with the high prices will change regularly.

which is also why a medium mining ship is preferred currently in order to maximise profits

The high prices dont last long,usually a day.

It's also a good idea (imo) to be packing a decent fuel scoop and an FSD booster. When you've found your best price it can easily be a few hundred Lyrs away, and if you decide to go best price on every commodity, you'll be doing some dashing around.
