Newcomer / Intro Goliath drone

Doe anyone know how to kill or disable a Goliath drone?
One was patrolling a military settlement i was raiding for a mission.
I tried killing them with a srv or a gun, but those things are too strong, i mostly got killed, or barely got away.
I got the mission done by using stealth and disabling the alarms and defences, but that thing kept on flying, even after i removed the power regulator.

Evasion is your best option. Those things are a pain.

They actually have a very bad aim if you are on-foot. You can use this to your advantage.

It will need loads of rockets. Preferred method for taking it down would be a ship.

I have a vague memory of drones having slightly shorter ranged guns than the Scarab so if you could get on higher ground it was possible to move to just inside your range of the base and drones. Then you could pick on one while it was in range and wear it down without response, if it did start to come after you you backed off and it either went back to what it was doing or you just kept backing and shooting till it was down.
I think they mostly only came after you one at a time after being hit unless you hit the base or another drone.

What I definitely don’t remember is what sort of drones they were, it was a long time ago.

just keep out of there way,nasty beasts.dont shoot at them, turn of all settlement defences if you can helps,alarms must go as well.otherwise run like h*** and hope for the best, if you make to youre ship good luck lololo

I tried shooting it with my ship, but several npc ships came in to attack me, and i had to make a run for it.

A Goliath is a kind of sentry skimmer, but huge and menacing, and with four rotors.
It's equipped with a shield, heavy armour and a missile launcher or plasma repeater, and they are easily ed off.
My srv didn't stand a chance, i tried from up close or ranged.
It also seems to be fully autonomous, shutting down the base 's alarms and defences, and even taking out the power regulator didn't stop it.
The only way i succeeded was using stealth, taking out the npc's one by one without raising an alarm before i could shut it down.

Yeah, it’s possible to kill them but it’s not worth the time or risk. If you don’t set off the alarms, you can do any dastardly deed right in front of them and they won’t care. But if you set off the alarms, you better find a safe place until the alarm clears; and as long as you can be seen, the alarm will keep blaring.
