Ships Federal Corvette Good Corvette builds for that packs a punch and work for sustained PvE combat, and aren't highly technical?

I have an alternate PvP build, with weapons I want to get good at, and decided to make a more chilled alternate build for PvE.

This is what I'm using currently, and I can spend a lot of time in sustained PvE, but small fast ships seem to slip in between the multi-cannon rounds: (so I normally have to use the lasers for sustained damage against smaller ships):

Would I be better off swapping the lasers and multi-cannons, so it looks more like this?

And what about beams vs pulse vs burst lasers? I haven't paid much attention to lasers for awhile.

Mine is like this and the small stuff pops in flames in no time (the weapon loadout i mean) Forgot to add that all weapons are at G3 and they shred quick with no problems.

My preferred PvE outfit is completely different.

I use efficient fixed thermal vent beams in the huges, long range feedback rails in the smalls, and turrets in the medium and large hardpoint,
with a corrosive highcap c3 multicannon and long range emissive & scramble pulses in the c2s.

But generally, I used huge multicannons and rest beams for a long time, but lately would rather chose huge beams and rest multicannons.
Those huge beams are simply too good looking 🤣

How about this one?

I usually swap large hardpoint to SRB PA or drag munition frag cannon if going for PvP. But this one works for me in PvE. Multicannons make short work of any medium (except FDL as it's stupidly agile) and large ship, while long range beam can easily snipe small ships when they boost past you and you get some distance. Rails are just nice finisher against small ships, but since you have beam, you can swap it out for feedback cascades or anything else.

I use a pair of SRB huge plasma and the rest MC on one biuld. On another biuld i have 2 medium and 1 large gimballed beam with railguns on the smalls and fixed cannon on the huge. I also tried using a pair of gimballed huge efficient burst lasers but that was kind of underwhelming on small targets. The gimbal jitter and the bursts fire rate meant alot of shots miss the small ships for some reason. It did work decent on big targets though.

I tried a few hardpoint setups on my Corvette found this one to be the most sustainable in a HazRes with my style of playing. It's two huge rapid fire fixed multicannons with autoloaders, two small high capacity gimballed multicannons with corrosive shell and three efficient plasma accelerators with plasma slugs. The damage output is good, especially against big targets where you get easy hits with the PAs and by the time you went through all your multicannon ammo, you are still on half a tank for the plasma slugs and half an hour in the HazRes, ten to fifteen million credits richer, plus the kill warrants.

I recently learned the magic of thermal conduit long range lasers.
They even glow brighter when over 100% temperature.
And they melt powerplants like butter.
Granted, I used a Conda instead of a Vette, but still.

TC LR is nice 🥳

My CZ-chain Corvette is using a single huge MC, overcharged with corrosive, rest lasers (gimbaled huge, rest turrets)
I supplement this with an F-63 with fixed multicannons piloted by my trusty Elite crew
That's on XB and it works really great.

On PC, my Vette is running 2x long range fixed huge bursts, 2x small corrosive high capacity multicannons, rest beam turrets.
Augmented with a fixed pulse laser SLF
It does not work as good at the XB counterpart, but i'm using it also as a trainer for fixed weapons. Yes it does make it a nice sniper

Here is what I'm using for combat zones and res sites

Two huge multicannons (short range, oversized) // alternatively two huge short range cannons
Two gimballed beams (long range, vent)
A large turreted beam (long range, vent)
Small multicannon turret (hi-cap, corrosive)
Small pulse laser turret (focused, emissive)

Ps. Multicannons? Always short range. Don't do overcharged.

Yesterday I finally finished my Vette build (fully engineered). Corvette Tank
Tested it with wing assassination missions. Well, they can do just a few scratches to the hull with phasing sequence lasers (1-2%).
I cannot even notice the shield depletion. I guess the build is overkill, may replace a few modules with something else.

Just get a pair of fixed C4 efficient beams.

You dont need anything else to snap everything RES has to offer in two in a matter of seconds. I had to turn off music cause it constantly earraped me by switching combat to victory themes.

This is what I was using for stacking wing assasinations back then when they paid. Still works for massacres, though you might as well empty other hardpoints and drop skill cell banks for speed lol. Or drop rails for small frags, engineer medium ones as screening.

Just forget about sys pips and fight agressively 0 3 3, go 2 4 0 in between. Its not even harder than shooting fixed from a Vulture if you use your pips. Vette turns very fast and precise, its like a giant muscular pitbull crazed on combat drugs. Such a joy to fly.

Shame that its forward speed ceiling is small, and it can only cry that Cutters are cheating before highwaking out when it comes to pvp. =)

Also it seems that nothing except plasma goes into bottom C3 hardpoint. Gimbal frag is always out of angle somehow when you shoot fixed beams.

Usually my Corvette is all Beams but for a change of pace I've been having fun with the MC build below. It's a great credit grinder and mat collector at the CNB. I send out the SLF to bring enemies in closer while my limpets are collecting. Never a dull moment. :)

2 Small long range plasma slug rails, 2 medium long range turreted thermal vent beams, 1 high cap turreted corrosive multi cannon, and 2 huge efficient plasma slug. Plus a slf

If I need a bit more extra damage I’ll just use premium ammo, I carry an extra tank 7a fuel tank just to make getting around easier so with plasma slug weapons I usually get bored before running out of fuel.
