It would be very cool if, instead of the higher sided right and left piece for flume corners, if flumes could have the same banking options that coasters have. No idea at all if banking offset would be a good thing or a bad thing on slides.
Just keep in mind that peeps aren't connected to flumes. If they stuck or slow down there is a higher risk of falling out on the inner side of a banked flume...
This could be an interesting chat between a load of people who know little about coaster or flume physics
We do see flumes with high sides on corners a lot and it’s a good point that you have about slowing down and then just dropping to the lowest part of the track.
But what about in a bobsled type of theory? Just bodies on slides though.
If you're talking about steel bobsled coasters they do have the pre-calculated physics as backup. On a real ice bob track the people know what they are doing. But you can't compare it with individual or stupid human behaviour... Sometimes you can see kids stopping and walking in flumes. The lower the sides the higher the risk of falling out...
I can't disagree so therein is the skill in creating the banking? Right now and since the new update guests are going to fly off the flumes in all kinds of directions. I don't disagree with your point I just think they're not falling out if you make the speed and the crests and corners correctly, exactly as they do now
