Good Job FD: I fought the law, and the law won

Because I'm a community-minded guy, I like to conduct mandatory seminars on the importance of ship insurance. No need to thank me: I'm just that kind of guy.

Anyway, on Sunday night I was going on a drunken rampage conducting seminars in Shinrarta Dezhra and all was going well, a number of satisfied clients.
Then I hear some chatter about a "response team" (I forget the details, but they sounded a bit miffed).
During my next client seminar, the pigs noble constabulary are on me within about 10 seconds of interdiction, and shooting almost immediately. Client still recieved their seminar, but I only just got away.
During my next client seminar, the pigs noble constabulary are on me immediately (as in, in the instance before me), things get dicey immediately, and I'm forced to abort the seminar.

This system is great, and I think it's working well. You can still go on a drunken rampage conduct seminars but there will be a response, and it ramps up appropriately. In summary:

Had me spit my coffee on my keyboard.

Well DONE, that man. ;)

Edit: Read it again, laughed even harder. That British sense of humour cracks me up every single time. My wife's looking at me quizzically already . . .

That sounds like it. But I think the speed of response is new, because I've seen them before but they were never in the interdiction instance before me. I mean, I popped in, there's my client in front of me, there's three porkers behind me. Fun times!

The higher your noteriety the faster they respond.

Interesting. Never experienced that myself, being a boring goodie-two-shoes . . . Seriously . . . I never played the renegade options in the BioWare games . . . (waits for the boos and catcalls to start, shuffles nervously towards the edge of the stage). I think I'll get my coat... ;)
I used to, then I prefereed Paragon with The occassional Renegade

Then I got Anthem whichnis basically one giant Renegade option from a developement standpoint so it evens out!

Never tried Anthem . . . My main game these days is ED, where I stick to my "try to be one of the nice guys" rule. Well, "nice" for a given amount of nice, anyway. I still expect to get paid...

Synthetic meat will save the planet, I swear. Just in the last few months I've seen a lot of chatter about it.
mmmm the noble constabulary never showed outside the station last saturday when some of your teacher colleagues were ramming showing me how to improve my scanning rate with my big ears cobra IV.
Not me, I fly a no-shields Vulture.

So, not invincible, but if you're not prepared they'll definitely chomp you to bits.

IIRC they're pretty darn close to invincible. At least their hulls and weapons are engineered far beyond what's available to us. To the extent that a battle in which a seasoned PvPer managed to bring down one single ATF Viper was worthy of a YouTube video a few months back.

You'd be better off trying to solo a Hydra than take on a wing of them.

Which I'm fine with. Busy high-sec systems like Shinrarta should have the resources they need to deal with troublemakers.

Here's the thing: I think the ATR showed up for several of my previous clients, but they had made the common mistake of low-waking out during my.. seminar.. so I just follow them, interdict and re-engage, while simultanously ditching the bacon. If they'd simply stuck around and fought, or alternatively high-waked, they'd be fine.
The one time I did stick around to try and deal with the ATR I ended up at 12% hull before I ran.

A while back, one of my wing-mates (who had accumulated high notoriety) mentioned that the ATR response trailed off as notoriety went higher.

I've never experienced this, but if I ever go on a Beluga killing spree (I hate the slot-filling ba*tard*), maybe I'll find out.

Yes, there was someone back in the comments who said that ATR response increases as notoriety increases. Which sounds logical, but my experiences getting a instant ATR response was when I was sitting on notoriety 2. If that's the case, the a notoriety 9 person in highsec should be constantly getting interdicted by a dozen engineered elites. Which would be awesome.
