I'm moving soon... And I'll have room for a second monitor.

I want to use said monitor for my Web browser whilst playing ED.

How does using a second monitor work? I mean, if you play ED with a mouse, how does one use the mouse on the browser? Is it similar to alt+tab?

Put the game in borderless windowed mode, that way when you are in a menu in the game you can drag the mouse out to the other screen and click on stuff without the game minimize.

Only borderless was the answer. Windowed was another setting that is similar but borderless is better.

Yeah, definitely. Finally leaving this toilet behind. I'm actually going to start going out again, take the dogs for walks, stuff like that.

I do actually have one other question about the second monitor.

What connection will I be using? I have a GTX 960 4GB.

Depends on your actual card - different manufacturers have different connections. At the very least you should have a DVI and an HDMI connection but you could have 2 dvi and or displayports. Just look up your card and select the best options available to connect.

Fair dinkum. I'll get my fat behind round the back of the desk when I wake up in the morning.

Going to have to buy a cable whatever it is. Just don't know which.

Borderless plus also turn on the mouse widget to get the orange dot in the center of the ED screen when in flight. Clicking on the second monitor and the mouse widget disappears. Back to the game and it reappears. You lose flight control when using the second monitor so having the dot comes in handy especially when arriving at a sun knowing you have control.

If it would help (and if they still have any left) take a visit to Aldi. They have an activity watch for £9 that can monitor your heart rate and step count (and can link to your smartphone). I have bought one myself, although I don't know if it will encourage me to get more exercise.
