Proposal Discussion Good quality Elite: Dangerous patch

For sewing on to clothing or hats, a 3" wide x 2" tall tri-color Elite: Dangerous patch.
I would pay £10 for one.
I was going to make a poll but it's not my merchandise/logo/store.
But I'd like to see an "I'd buy that for £10!" from everyone interested, show FD how much interest and MAYBE they'd consider it?
If it's a cheap knock off (read: stamped, not embroidered) I'm not interested. And I seriously doubt FD would want some raveled patch displaying their pride & joy.
Chime in and let them know if YOU would be interested too!
PS. I already sent a proposal to Mark but this will give them something to 'chew on' (I hope!)

completely missed the issue there from reading the thread title - thought you were refferring to a "good Quality patch" as in 2.3 something to update the game.

I'm definitely interested. I can't sew for toffee though, so a T-shirt (or a good quality sweatshirt) with an embroidered patch would be nice too.
Looking at how much that designer stuff sells for (Nike, Adidas etc), I think FD could charge a premium price for it.

Sewing it on around a patch is pretty easy but I'd have it done professionally and buy a high quality hat and have my commander name embroidered under it.
The patch would be considered Official FD merchandise, of course!

Thats what Wundaweb is for... it converts a regular patch.. into an IRON on..

I cheekily use it for my son's scout badges.... I know cheating!!! But hey when I was a scout my friend used super glue!!! They NEVER Came off..

I'd definitely buy that for £10. In fact, i'd buy several, and have them on jacket sleeves, hats, etc.

I would really like to see some metal pins too, something like the "wings" one earns when graduating flight school, but with the Elite wings. A rank pin would be nice too.

I found myself picturing a leather flight jacket (Mr Cruise in top Gun style) with patches from various missions and deployments. I have to confess that would be something to work towards acknowledging in game achievements and experiences in the real world.

Maybe this could be a cunning micro-transaction route, so instead of in-game achievements popping up (which really annoy me) you get a little code you can input in the shop giving you access to the achievement sew-on badge, yours for just £1.99.

Kinda like the Scouts, but more expensive.
