Good weapons for Clipper in thargoid CZs?

Hello guys :)
I'm currently farming some guardian bps and materials so I can have some fun in a AX CZ with guardian weapons !
What weapons do you suggest I use with my current clipper (2xL + 2xM) for this purpose?

I'd suggest a different ship! No, really, the weapon convergence on the Clipper for fixed weapons is terrible, and Gauss Cannons only come fixed. The Plasma repeaters have a Turreted version, but be warned, the turret mode only works with multicrew, so you need a mate onboard. You'd be in a similar position with AX weapons too - fixed and turreted (I think the turreted MC are multicrew too).

So... You could try 2 medium Gauss Canons, but the convergence won't be great. The large hardpoints are too far apart, so you could try firegroups on each side, but that means combining a Large and Medium on each side, and the Gauss Canon has a firing delay. Might be interesting to try a large Plasma repeater paired with a medium Gauss Canon on each side... pretty colours!

I don't use my Clipper for Xeno (yet). I prefer the harpdoint layout on the Krait - 2x medium Gauss, 2x large Turreted Plasma or AX MC, 1 remote flechette, 2x Trident SLFs.
 
If all you want to fight is scouts then all ax turreted multis. Normal multis will work too but are slower.

If you have access to guardian technology then 1 x c2 gauss, 1 x remote release flak, 2 x c3 shards. I have read that on the forum that the turreted shard canon do fire in turreted mode unlike the plasma chargers but have not seen any videos confirming that.

Fit a decontaminiation limpet controller and a small cargo bay for the limpets.

A Krait mk 2 is a better ship. See the AX guide for more details:

Shard cannons are not different then Frags... so turreted version works with the AI.
*edit: works, but from my experience nowhere near effective for anything - so spare them for multicrew*
Plasma charger, shock cannon and Flechette/Flak are all weapons with a certain trigger mechanic (hold and release), so they dont work with the turret AI, nor when you let your NPC crew fly your ship.

Use a different ship. Turreted Guardian / AX weapons are terrible dps loss for negligible gain. Lack of Gimballed variant means using fixed weapons and the Clipper is not up to par for Thargoids unlike the Cutter for example (thanks to mega shields).

Unless your plan is to fight scouts only in which case normal gimballed multi's should do the job well enough. But if you wanna fight an Interceptor you're gonna need fixed weapon convergence.
 
Turreted AX multicannons are actually excellent against Scouts, at least. The Clipper really isn't the ship for the job though.
