Goodbye Crew

Recently I got an A-Rated Corvette, borrowed all the RNG modules from other ships
Installed a fighter hanger, hired some crew.

After two days of bounty hunting what I've found is the fighters are a total waste of time.
They do barely any damage, die too often and the crew simply are paid far too much.

And on top of this most of the time I've just swapped a ship and forgotten to set the crew active again so I leave without them.

They just aren't worth 10% of my income sorry.
 
They can be effective, but they also need to be dangerous or above in rank typically lol. They still die all the time in CZ's, but outside of that they have a lot higher survivability rate.

I bought harmless pilot's for the 2% starting cost, because once elite they take only 10%. I think the expert pilot's start at 10% and move to 20%.

What weapon load outs are you running? I use the imp fighter with fixed beams/heatsink and taipan with plasma repeaters. The gu-97 does seem to do pretty decent damage. Plasma repeaters are just fun.
 
Eh.. you have to train them..
Pilots with rank of Deadly or higher are really effective. I have trained my pilot from Mostly Harmless and now shes a proper killing machine.

Also, i dont know how this is any kind of suggestion or feature request..

I use GU-97 with plasma repeaters/chaff and Taipan with fixed beams/heat sink. I've only got an Expert crew member since I accidentally pancaked during a lowlevel dogfight, but he is performing rather well in the bounty hunting role so far.

I like the GU-97 the most, solid damage and insane speed and agility, zoom!
 
Oh yeah that's another item to add to the list - if you die, they leave your employment and you have to start again with a new scrub.

sorry my mind is set on this.

if it was 10% of the bounties they earned during active combat - fine i could live with that. but 10% of everything? forget it.

The extra escape pods mounted on the ships are just for show.

To each their own. You can always hire them, use them, then before you cash in fire them.

I will say I totally agree with you one on point- it is infuriating when I forget to activate them :mad:

Yup, job well done deserves a reward me thinks. My trusted co-pilot has earned every penny of her rewards of 53 mil i have paid her. I have assets of 1,5 bil creds, so its not like i dont have the money..
