Hi.
I just wanted one last post. Due to things in-game and forum related that I'm very unhappy with, I have decided to quit ED and simply pretend it doesn't exist.
Yeah this is a moan thread, my last one. [redacted]
[redacted]
Now, I want to say I'm a fanatical Elite fan, I bought the BBC Model B version this day 30 years ago and fell in love with it immediately. So much that for my birthday the following April my parents bought me a DFS upgrade for my BBC, along with a disk drive and disk copy of Elite which was the better version with more ships and different stations.
I don't mind admitting I've dreamt of Elite: Dangerous (well. Elite IV) for several decades and I screamed with joy when the kickstarter was announced and scrabbled to get as much money together as I possibly could to support it. I believe I've paid more than enough, Frontier have made £200 off me and thats a lot of money to me.
anyway due to things I loathe that are creeping in-game and certain attitudes [redacted] I've simply had enough and I'm out. its actually got to the stage now where I don't even want to play the game anymore, all my passion and excitement for the game has completely died off.
I am a kickstarter that has a boxed collectors edition coming to me but I am simply not interested anymore and I would cancel it if I would get me any money back but it wont, so instead I'll let it arrive and I'll put it on ebay still sealed and thats that.
I will always have very fond memories of David Braben and thank him for the thousands of hours of entertainment he's given me over the years, but Frontier.. I cannot truly comment my disappointment and disgust for the lack of communication and contempt they have for their long term fans, for I'd be modded.

To the rest of you I say farewell and "Right on Commander".
