So SOOOOO excited about this news (especially since I spent all weekend trying to get the FakeVive SteamVR version working after the Windows 10 Creators update broke it).

Hell ... it's even free!

hmmm, I dont have touch controllers :(

Well don't just sit there typing, go and buy some! :D

But seriously, I know they're expensive (especially on top of everything else), and no, they don't work in Elite, but ... they are absolutely stunning and well worth the expense IMHO (for Google Earth, Robo Recall and Tilt Brush alone).

I thought they did work with Elite, just not very well? No tracking but the joysticks work?

I'll have to give them a go when I get home to know for sure

Blimey it looks cool! Is it defo proper S3D, not how 360 does 3D, which is just 2D at depth?

haha ;)

maybe one day I stop typing and buy the controllers. On the other hand all I play is Elite and I do not have the space to set up a playarea.
Anyways thanks for the Link to google earth.

It's one of the single most awesome things I've seen in VR. I don't know what you mean by S3D but it really does feel like you have the whole world at your feet. Not only that, the wife absolutely loves it too and is no longer able to laugh at me when it's my turn in the headset!

This won't do it justice of course but this is worth a watch if you're on the fence ...

I do, but my Rift has had to be sent back. The right speaker system has stopped working. However, Oculus have been very quick to respond, and their aftercare service has been good so far.
