Google Earth VR

Anyone tried this. It's been on Vive for a while. Just dropped for Oculus Touch.

It's pretty incredible and has me dreaming about the potential of landing and exploring atmospheric planets in Elite.

Just zooming down and looking around is incredible, even when the resolution isn't the highest.

Yep. Really neat stuff. I like the additional control Touch offers, especially being able to swap left and right functionality.

I like the Touch version too. Glad it finally made it onto the Rift.
I love how you can swing the sun around its arc, and the moon etc are in the correct place.
The resolution isn't too bad, considering the photo imagery in most places I look is fairly low anyway (even compared to the Rift res).

But part of me wants to replicate the pinch and two-point rotate that you see in Google maps etc (in the 3D views). And fly using the thumbstick as a joystick, like a plane etc.
