Do you mean alt.fan.elite which is the original from the 90s? I occasionally drop by but it is generally cluttered with spam with one or two diehards trying to fight their way through it.

I am in G+ ED group, and it is fun....I use G+ occasionally (liking it better than Facebook), so it is interesting sometimes to follow discussions.
