Got attacked by neutral System Authority Vessel while trading

I was trading with my Cutter (was transporting gold, nothing illegal). I'm not wanted, don't have any bounties. I was docking to a neutral independent station. Just as I was about to enter the station (automatic landing was active) a system authority vessel started attacking me out of the blue and destroyed my ship, making me lose ton of money. What the hell?

Reason for assault is "Crime". WHAT CRIME?

Had it a few times lately i think its
a bug
.
Best just to keep heading into the port and ignore them, but as Factabulous said i wouldn't haul without a shield.

My Cutter has 640T of cargo but can take a serious beating, plenty of shields to just ignore anything to be honest, that way you don't fight back and get any fines.

Another sorrowful tale where greed outweighs common sense.
It is a dystopian galaxy, flying paper ships is a risk, sometimes it pays off, others - a rebuy instead.
Why do traders fly without shields? (then complain when the gamble doesn't pay off?)

(I still chuckle over a friend's loss of a cutter full of void opals, in the good old days, when he crashed it into an asteroid when turning to return home with a hold full, no shields or enhanced armour... He wasn't a happy bunny!)

Flying without shields should be officially made a crime.

Flying without shields is a crime punishable by shooting.
I have no problems with my shield less krait ALIEN8TOR but to each there own i suppose
never ever fitted a docking computer FA off landings is part of the fun for me

If I see shieldless CMDRs out and about I sometimes just boost at them on general principle regardless of whether I'm doing crimes that day or not, especially if I'm outside a no fire zone like I see them mining or something.

I don't usually send them the rebuy screen (not on purpose anyway), just give 'em a little shunt to remind them of the value of shields.

ahh i see nope not a passenger carrier never......... bountyhunter merc and thargoid hunter mainly hence no shields when hunting the latter via cold orbit

I do it for the G5 material rewards, had a few laughs out there too, like the time i wasn't paying attention and selected a Haz Rez instead of the destination beacon :ROFLMAO:

without shields how was he flying full speed into the asteroid? didn't he know you have to do that to shake the loot loose?
