Got into a Hauler for the first time since GPP today...

So the Fuel Rats CG ends tomorrow morning, so I figured that I'd outfit a Hauler taxi and sprint out to Jaques' station, log out there, pick up my money, then head back to my T9.

I almost crashed on the way out of the station. I'd forgotten just how fast and maneuverable this little thing is. I mean, if it had more cargo space, I'm sure it would be the choice of long range smugglers, given that you can get into a station in about half a second. Dear lord, this thing can turn.

last time i got in a hauler or was it an adder? But anyway i jumped in one of those ships to get my courier parked in a different system, got interdicted, failed, tried to run, and was violently killed. Seems like you're doing much better than I did so that's a plus!

I know, it makes me wonder what it'll do when enhanced thrusters come to xbox and I fit one with them. :D

I'm out on the edge of the bubble, so interdictions are few and far between, thankfully.

The Hauler has one of my most favorite cockpits in the game! I wish I could fly it more often... It's just so... bad, though. Too bad there wasn't a large ship with that cockpit, I love that tight feel. Makes me actually feel Like I'm in a vehicle, unlike the cockpits of some of the larger ships like the Clipper, where it just feels like I'm flying through space with a desk in front of me.

I had a similar experience recently. I spent six weeks out exploring in a Corvette. When I came back I jumped into my Asp Explorer and it felt like a sports car. Something no one as ever mistaken the Asp Explorer for.

I get that feeling after getting out of my cargoconda into an Asp or cobra.

Try going straight from your corvette to vulture though! I was bouncing off asteroids it felt so twitchy!

You went exploring in a 'vette? [weird]

Sorry to stray off topic, but what kind of jump range were you getting? My trade 'vette has a measly 17Ly range (although I did get one upto 25ly in the beta with engineers tweaks). Still nowhere near what I like for exploration.

I know some went on the Distant Worlds expedition but none made it all the way.
