Got killed by a CMDR. And it was FUN!

After killing a 100 or so NPCs I used the money to buy a hauler.

Traded for 3-4 hours, but I got shot outside of Aulin by a CMDR manning a Cobra with a railgun.

Back to 5k credit I chose to ditch the hauler and came back with a simple sidewinder with dual lasers. I managed to kill him by using the side thruster maneuvers I've been practicing, and when he came back and I even had him FLEE! My heart was racing the whole time, it's the best time I've had with the game yet.

Killing NPCs is fun but having a human enemy is AWESOME!!! Thank you CMDR you made my day. I'm going back to dogfighting and bounty hunting. Watch your back for that unassuming Sidewinder!

I get chills thinking about the final release,after an hour or so of quiet PvE, cruising into some unknown system and finding another hostile player beat me there and is waiting in ambush. Adrenaline rush!

This is why I like PVP servers in games.

Love that looking over your shoulder, ready to respond to a threat feeling. PVE only just doesn't cut it for me.

I'm one for letting people go about their business but love the chance to respond if somebody interferes in mine. Even if it doesn't go my way afterwards.

Remembering First Time....

I remember my first attempted CMDR skirmish, They were in a sidewinder and I was in a cobra mk III, I have no idea what they were firing at me with, as I did not take the time to scan them, but as soon as they fired at me, 2 point defense mounts and 2 class 4 beam lasers and 2 class 2 rail guns were immediately deployed... it was game on..

Rail gun had the distance, and beam was better close up.... point defense ready for any missiles... the match ended with them scarpering away... but I loved it... far better then the AI ships.

When you die, dont push that "continue" button, but ctrl+alt+del and from Task Manager shut down Elite client (end task) or log out from your Windows.

Will bring you to earlier save/situation where just fine, even with cargo (even if it were you that attacked first), withouth legal aggression from anybody when entering game again.

And great places to get credits is Styx´s and that LP 98- planet 4´s beacon spots, when you arrive there (no matter if in free Sidewinter or Cobra with 36 cargo hold), just save there, quick log back, wait a minute and see if gold/personal weapons appear on the scanner/contacts, if yes, scoop as many as you can before attacked, save and return (even in same instance there will be no more aggression towards you from AI), if there is nothing (or just toxic cans and pirates), save again in same spot, load, repeat...

And if you manage to die during that, ctrl+alt+del and task manager I explained above will save you, you just continue with cargo just before your death (even if scooped at last seconds).

If you have friends to play with, or just wanna help others, you can jettison cargo full of gold and in same instance kill your ship, example activate silent running while jettisoning until ship just overheats and blows up.

Edit: Might be that Styx and LP locations are now harder to just "save jump" now (felt so last time, kept bringing me to same instance with short wait), just SC 2500 or so km away from spot, stop and SC back.

Met him too. Found him shooting a Hauler, took him out.

This was not a skilled "pirate" by any means, good job at retaliation though

I shoot Haulers too in and between 2 stations I do trade with in my Cobra and it´s missile launchers, but that´s just for "business", to keep prices good.
