Now! The big question! To wipe save, or not? Considering iron man see.

Yeah I plan to give it a day. Going to be away tomorrow so it gives me something to ponder while I sit idle.

The attraction of early game scrimping and saving is big.

If you determined "iron man" before this happened, you kind of owe it to yourself to wipe. I wouldn't... but you aren't me :D

Given a ship/credit loss considering a wipe you did not lose any rankings, alliances with factions, reputation etc which can only be acquired by many hours playing the game. No ship or credits can replace that.

Oh yeah, I was wanted. No salt here. Honestly I think this is me trying to justify wiping again. I miss the early game scramble. :|

Might I suggest that, if you are going to play 'Iron Man' mode, you also have a second account so that you can play without having to manage the setback of 'death'.

I would also suggest you take a look through the posts of Mossfoot. He/she designed a decent formula to allow Players to roll a set of dice and see if they survived or not.

Are you going to create a new story for yourself or just going back and doing what you already are doing?

If you are building a story then Wipe. I've done it a few times now but less and less likely as my ranks and stuff gets built up.

If you are going to go back to doing what you are still doing then I'd just keep going. Also maybe consider doing a 'soft wipe' if you like being the bare bone scraping a living kind of guy. That way you keep rep and ranks etc (especially with engineers) but have the scrimp and save gameplay for the next while.
