Ships Got myself a Python, no regrets!

I spend most of my time exploring, which is how the bulk of my 500 million credits have been earned. Until yesterday I owned my starter Sidey, Adder, DBX, Cobra mk III and AspX but on my most recent trip out into the black I started thinking about a getting good all-rounder with more space than the Cobra.

Given the information I finally plumped for the Python and am currently going for a middle of the road build. At the moment I don't really want more than 100 tons of cargo space but the thing I like about the Python is that there are so many options to reconfigure it, so when I do want to do some big bulk trade jobs, I'll be able to, whilst still having space for some defences.

At the moment I'm using it for some medium volume cargo runs but I'm going to start laser mining platinum etc shortly. Really pleased with the ship so far. I'm not much into combat at the moment but I know that when I do start getting stuck in, I'll be able to pack some firepower, too.

The Python is a truly great all rounder from combat to passenger hauler it's good at just about everything, for combat I prefer the Krait mk2 or Challenger but neither will be close to the Pythons cargo or passenger capacity.

I use one configured for passengers on the Robigo - Sothis run (great for cash and high end mats), one for laser mining and several with various combat loadouts (5 efficient PA's pack a real punch!)

Hello,

90% of my playing time i'm sitting in my Python. Which is named 'Tramp' and i consider it as a hooligan trader, because i take on almost any (PvE) fight offered. And usually there are 'Deadly' or at least 'Dangerous' Anacondas which pull me out of SC when I run Missions. Killing that pirates is also paid pretty well. And i had already some 'Bring us eighty tons of Gold for 30 Millions' missions.
Ok, i say i found a fitting that works great for me with 220t cargo, 30ly jump range fully laden and if i don't want to fight, i always win that little Interdiction Game without any problem
I also used 5A/5C Bi-Weave but there are sometimes 2 pirates in a row and the protection with a class 6 shield is much better. I'don't use Shield Cells when running missions. Combat zone or Res site is something different, there i use a FdL.
Btw my combat rank is 'Expert', trading and exploring is 'Elite'

Python also has a good ship kit and assortment of paint jobs. The cockpit is also nicely atmospheric. I'm not a fan of the view blocking canopy strut when you look up though.

The Python was my first armed trader. It was my primary miner for a while. I now use it to run cargo missions to outposts. Awesome ship.

The Krait MK2 is a good ship. I own one, but I prefer the Python as a work horse.

God the python is great. My favorite ship in the game, and easily my favorite ship in any game. This is my cargo based mission runner: https://s.orbis.zone/eeh0

It's been eating up source and return missions. It's also easily convertible to a miner, but I think it excels as a pirate ship. Which is how I made enough money for a fleet carrier lol. The clean drives are a leftover from that, because it makes smuggling a breeze and I had a manifest scanner where the heatsinks are. (here's hoping fdev fixes smuggling or at least puts snake missions back in)

The weapons loadout and shields have made it so I can take on conda pirates on trade missions, as long as i'm aiming for their power plant. With the buffs to bounties, it makes a neat profit.

I have a 3A prismatic to drop shields and fsd booster when I want a really spacious passenger ship.

Also python/krait is really kinda moot. I like the python because 6 slot means more cargo, but basically in every activity they'll be a side grade to each other.

I really like that weapon load out boss.
