Ships Got the Cutter. Love it, but have no use for it?

Well, I've just traded months of exploration data for a Cutter. A-rated, with enough rebuy budget to fly it like a complete twerp. But I can't find what to do with it. I actually really like flying it. It's somehow relaxing, reassuring. Despite the fact that it feels like an Empire State building with a couple of Saturn V rockets strapped to it.
But any activity I can think of...it's just too impractical. I don't trade, I wouldn't tolerate it's turn rate in combat, and I already have better ships for exploration and mining. Is this what most people use it for? Just leisurely traverse the bubble, do a mission here and there. Like a mobile base. I do love basking it her glory. It's gorgeous. Elegant. Opulent, but not vulgar. Well, maybe a little vulgar in chrome...at least I finally have a use for a skin I've purchased years ago.
Help me find a use for this magnificent, but ultimately pointless ship :D

Cutter is all around ship. Capable trader, can defend itself, can mine, and so on. It just is not the best in any single category (well perhaps aside armed trader, in that it IS good, maybe best.)

And it has highest defensive potential in game. It can take punishment and some more. What it lacks in offensive capability, it adds in its staying ability.

I've already found what I will use it for. Just general...bubble meandering? I do some missions, I collect materials, do a delivery here and there, defend a convoy on occasion, visit Pleiades for fun, race in a canyon, admire views, take selfies, BASK IN HER MAGNIFICENT MAJESTIC CHROMED GLORY. All with the same loadout, no need to ever visit outfitting. I've realized I already have enough ships to make money. This gorgeous thing...it's for leisure. It's so relaxing to fly. You feel so safe. So sturdy. It's so fast and heavily defended you pretty much never have to worry about anything. And the way it flies. It's not zippy, but it doesn't need to be. You merely suggest where you want to go, and it takes you there. I think I really love this ship :)

I use mine for hauling freight mostly during Community Goals (when we used to have Community Goals). It's a beautiful, powerful, and heavily armed hauler.

Mine is a multi-role ship with heavy shields and armor. It can take a beating and dish one right back. I swap the internals depending on what I want to do with it, but it's been everything from a miner to a bounty hunter, to a mission runner (had to grind those silly federation ranks somehow for the Federal Corvette.)

She's heavily engineered and will take out pretty much any PvE pirates in a matter of seconds if interdicted. (I mean I don't fight the interdiction, that's free money right there.)

I bought the gold paint for a Cutter ~18mths(?) ago, but still don't have one.
Bought gold Courier paint at the same time, it's the only color for it.
So gaudy it hurts.

With two size 8 slots, then nothing above a 6, you have to choose... what size shield?

I went for two big cargo racks, and a size 6 prismatic shield and fuelscoop. With several more cargo racks in smaller slots, I have 600t cargo capacity, plus a Guardian FSD Booster and fighter hangar.

My shields have never dropped. I can stack cargo missions or haul Powerplay goods, and still destroy any NPC who tries to stop me.

I did exactly the same kind of thing on my 2nd cutter, and I was doing my LTD mining with it, internals changed.

I haven't done the PP yet, but when I get around to it :)

That's the beauty of the Cutter. When you see one of the NPC's scorning message, 'can't believe you got this far', just slow down. You kill them and get the bounty, if not an anarchy system, and the mats.

What could be better than that?

... a Cutter ... But I can't find what to do with it ...

Well, i have 2 of them. One heavy, shielded, armed - configured as a laser miner.
576t cargo and 9 collectors.
While still being able to outrun or kill every other npc ship.

The other one is lightweight and shieldless. Still it can carry 768t while having the luxury of ADC and SCA and jump 50ly empty or 35 fully laden.

So best hauler plus best miner in game.
Still very good at combat.
Also the best at pure basking (the Clipper is really close tho)

Just yesterday I heard someone, I think it was on on Lave Radio, say that the Cutter was a very good mining platform.
