I looked around the galaxy map for a High Tech system that had planets with rings to farm some RES. I dropped into a hazardous RES (first time been away a while) and engaged a flight of two wanted Imperial Clippers and a Fed Gun Boat in a wing. I took out the Fed ship and damaged one clipper before I was almost dead and out of Oxygen. I barely escaped out of the RES and flew to the nearest platform. No repair facilities. Entered the hangar to replenish my air and set out again to a planet base. Interdicted but, escaped. Landed at the base and no repair facilities. Set out again to an orbital station some 1300 or out and was interdicted again. Again I was able to escape. I landed at the station and repaired, thankfully as I can barely cover my insurance.

What an amazingly fun little adventure.

Sure, I could have looked to see what facilities the various human structures offered and flew to one immediately but, I'm sure glad I didn't. Sure I could have chosen the nearby (HIGH) RES or (LOW) RES but, I'm glad I didn't. After the repairs I only netted about 75k cr but had a priceless good time!

Oh yes, i once had to do the replenishing oxygen trick at an outpost with no repair facility. ... keeps the tension up for sure.

When I started out I had no idea about what ship was what. Got interdicted in my Cobra and started to fight this Clipper thing. Was going rather well but he hit me with a volley and smashed me up bad. So I had 5min oxygen; crawled to a station with 8 seconds to go - no repair. So down planetside, no repair but they did have an outfitting. So with the best Life support they had I was good to go with 15min and high waked to a station that I had checked out on the map to have a repair facility.
I had to find a place to upgrade first, so only the first port of call was panic induced.

Then I checked out how big a clipper was.... [wacky]
