Currently run an i7 7700k, 16gb ddr4 ram and a GTX1080 - Originally ran a Vive then a Vive Pro now I have Cosmos with wireless attachment. Wondering if anyone thinks a newer GPU would really allow me to crank up getting settings in VR or is it not worth? I know my setups decent for VR as it is but exploring the possibility of being able to increase things like supersampling.
GPU upgrade from 1080 worth it?

Supersampling is almost entirely on the gpu, so if that's what you want to do I'd look into upgrading that.
Please don't rush into a new GPU. This month AMD will announce and maybe release their new GPU, they could even actually have something to sell 
. Additionally their new Zen 3 CPU will be announced. The new may, just may change the pricing of some of the vendors GPU's. AMD could even release a competitive product who knows.
