Graphics are Still Outstanding

Wow! Another 7 pages for such a very simple and positive topic.
I think EDO looks great. Elite is pretty dated and I think they did a great job freshen it up without overdoing it. There's a few things I dislike, but there's always a few things I dislike.
Otherwise I agree with Ratcatcher's statement earlier in the thread. I don't play Legacy. It's dead to me. Great it's still around though, because they could just have shut it down like 95% of devs would have done with their outdated build.
There, my opinion.

I'm not certain that CAS and FSR 1.0, as this game has implemented them, even have any functional differences at all.
O they do. Only one of them can be activated from the graphics upscaling.
FSR just pixelates the image while CAS sharpens it.
FSR helps quite a bit on lower end pcs.

FSR 1.x includes sharpening, which is just the non-scaling version of CAS (RCAS).

FSR 1,x also doesn't 'pixelate' the image, or make things faster, unless you use one of the included presets, which only sets the render scale component for use with EAUS. At <SSAAMultiplier>1.00000</SSAAMultiplier> there shouldn't be any difference between FSR and CAS.

Did you see the FSR image I posted above?

Did some more testing with the in-game CAS option and it's sharpening feature doesn't appear to be working at all in the current version of Odyssey. Different systems with different GPU brands, stock config files, etc...no effect.

Is anyone else able to confirm or refute this? The effect, if it's present at all, should be easy enough to demonstrate by looking at a textured surface then switching between Normal and CAS upscaling with the shapening slider cranked up.

I’ve just checked by looking really closely at the texture on my CMDRs arm while switching between Normal and CAS (at several different positions on the slider) - and I cannot see any difference at all. FSR is noticeably visually different when checking those settings.

Something is amiss with CAS!
