Graphics settings

Would it be possible to have additional graphics settings put in place so that those running multiple monitors can have that experience without having to stretch the game using their system display resolution settings please. For example, i have three monitors running at 1920 x 1080 resolution. the maximum graphics settings in-game is 1920 x 1080. The only way i can increase the in-game graphics settings is by permanently changing the display resolution of my system, which looks awful. It kind of makes the game look sort of stretched too.

Hi Nemo, thanks for the reply. Yeah, i tried the surround thing but it looked awful. I was thinking more along the lines of DCS World, (i don't know if you play this), where you can select the multi screen display in-game instead of forcing your system to implement surround resolution from the start. I am kind of new to the multi screen thing so i am still learning. Thanks for the info anyway.

Would it be possible
it would mean a lotta work and given the issues the game has at the moment I honestly cant see that happening any time soon tbh
I would reserve that as a pipe dream...……………….

Would love true multi-monitor without Surround or AMD's version

You could try the solution I use as I use mixed monitors running in a window.
The video below is it running with a GTX 1070 at 7680x1440p

Unfortunately my upgrade to a RTX 3070 stopped the old method of setting these settings in NVidia's custom resolution settings
I did work out another way using ToastyX CRU utility!
So made a quick how to.

you need to change the FOV value in the XML display options file.
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Graphics\ Open Settings.xml in text editor (notepad for example). Find line <FOV>XX.000000</FOV> and change value to your desired FoV

it should stop is stretching if you make it high enough, the slider on display settings screen doesnt go above 65, i think.... setting manually editing the file you can se what you need

No worries. I only play ED and only on a single monitor (HP Omen 27i). Sorry I couldn't help more.
