Great fun with pirates!

Was having great fun in my T7 evading pirates and paying their 'taxes' when they did catch me in Yembo. T7 ships seem to be their favourite prey!!

Sadly the fun came to an end with some dodgy server connections which resulted in my death (at least that's my excuse). Sad times.

I'll log a ticket but this is what I experienced:

Comms not being received. Pirates are an impatient bunch.
Laggy connection + occasional disconnect. Didn't know where the pirates really were on my scanner at times.
Couldn't target some pirates so had no idea what ship they were in and whether I would be mass locked or not.
Stuck (long delay) in frame-jump exit/entry.
Connecting to French and non-latin-charset instances.

Anyone else?

Yeah I have experienced this. I think its due to textures being loaded but not on a separate thread. So the primary game thread has to stall and wait for textures to finish loading (my guess).

Yeah this one is super annoying. Even when in a private group you cannot reliably comm chat with other friends. There are some serious issues with it. Not to mention the fact that the interface doesnt allow you to chat at all times. You have to be sitting in your cockpit view.

Being able to quickly target people in your chat log would be nice too yeah.
