Great Game but getting unplayable

Love the Game, but have not played in a while due to the Speeds and no Folder Management.
The Speed is way too fast IMO, needs adjusting for a much slower pace, which could be done. Years go by in Minutes!
and the lack of Folder Management is annoying when so many Workers and Animals.
other things like the more you got slower it gets even on a good machine.
Path System too.
I doubt i will be buying extra DLC's until some sort of fixes.

You can slow down animal growth in the settings.
unfortunately that doenst change much. The time even goes by so fast that suddenly in europe i get snow in july which is not realistic at all. This game would do so much better with much slower time. My Glass barriers start showing damage already at around 85%, which is about after 5-10 mins ingame playtime. my yellow frog exhibit needs to be cleaned out because they reproduce like 10 babys after 15 mins. animals start fighting because of group size even tough my pup just got grown up literally hal a second ago. its just all way too fast.

slow down animal ageing in the settings

Yes, I think the speed of time in the Planet Zoo is too fast too ...
I need 100 years to get my Zo to some extent ...
but the 5-fold slowdown of the animals has improved it a little bit for me, but I am paying attention to the years not more.
Whenever I do that, I find it ridiculous how quickly it goes and I'm annoyed.
But it is so and I can not change it.
I still cannot understand why the developers chose this impossible speed without giving us the opportunity to choose a slower speed.
But the game is still being worked on, I hope it is like the Sims, where a lot will be done to the game in the next few years and that will change for the better.

Even if some mistakes can rob you of the desire to play.

slow down animal ageing in the settings
i think you didnt unterstand my point. my grown up adult animals start fighting literally the exact millisecond their pup gets grown up. so everytime an animal gets grown up i have to stay there watch it the whole time untill its done so i can instantly remove it and then break up the fight of the adult animals. the game doesnt even give you a splitsecond time to do these things.

i agree that the fightings starts way to fast!

The game gives you plenty of notice when a baby is about to mature. Also, slowing things down wouldn't change that they fight when they mature. There is also the pause button if you feel you need to take care of things, and as others have said but you seem to disregard, slow down animal age rate (the babies take forever to mature when you do this).

The speed is fine and needs to be what it is otherwise finances would be an issue.

no you dont understand. i dont have a problem with how quick my animals mature or get old. thats perfectly fine for me. im talking about that exact moment they transition into adulthood. and yes im aware that we can pause the game but when actually building and playing a larger zoo its just too much stuff happening way to quickly.

Again. Pause button seems to fix this problem you have. The default speed is slow enough. The exact moment they transition will still be an exact moment regardless of speed. It will not make that transition slower as the game has it set at a specific date and time when that animal will go from juvenile to adult. It is just a switch, not a process that would be slowed down.

They changed the speed with the animal growth setting.
Complaints about the speed have become very rare on any platform (forum/steam/reddit).
Most people wanted to "enjoy" their animals longer, this setting fixed their issue with speed.
Don't expect any changes. Adjusting this would require a (maybe complete) rebalancing of the game, maybe even an overhaul over entire aspects of the game.

For animals you can use the filter. Not against a folder management, but is it really a big issue for people?

Path system seems to be a Frontier choice (like PC/JWE). I don't expect any overhaul on any basic functions of the game.
You'll just need to find a way to may it work for you. A lot of players struggle but in the end, still manage to get a good result.

i agree on this... i've never played any games with a path system like this, but i got it under control very quickly. it just takes a little practace/time

I somewhat agree with the barrier damage. It is quite weird that the barrier is around 20% damaged but it is already very visually damaged. That way most of my viewing areas with glass looks really horrible because the glass is always cracked somewhere. I think if it was changed to show the damage visually round 70+% damage would be much better.

On the speed time, yea its quite fast for me too (in particular if the year was slower, we could have a real seasons, I dislike how it is snowing in summer and the snow last just like 1 minute of real time), but I think it is too late to change the time. At least we got the slow animal aging option which is surely appreciated.

about this: the filters 'could' be enough, if the game didn't reset them everytime you (or the game) closes the animal tab.... so when i apply a few filters, then send a few animals to the tradecentre, then i need to open the animal tab again AND apply all the filters again... the game should remember the filters, but better: don't close every tab, just place others over them

I'm all for improvements like these. Improve the filters or the tabs instead of adding a new game-mechanic (folder management)
In the trade center it doesn't reset the filter, so it's looks like an easy thing to adjust for other filters.

I do realise Animal Speed is an option and i have it on 5, but the Game itself is too fast, most Games offer a Variable Speed, from Real to X amount of times. I can understand the faster speeds like others is good for making profits etc, but personally if you got a large zoo the amount to deal with becomes hard work, Guests, Animals, Staff.
Obviously the Game is a Zoo, and would like to extend, without having to pause every time. I also like to watch the Animals, especially the litters.
I still think an Editor for the Building would be much easier, and Certainly a Folder System for Tidiness.
The Game in itself is Great otherwise, Graphics for the Animals brilliant even though a few tweaks need doing.
As much as i would love to see more Animals included, especially Aquatic and Birds, but found the Game too relentless on Years going so Fast.
Some probably enjoy that, and if i was younger, probably would not be a problem.
