Great game staff!

Wanted to say a big thank you and the staff are commendable in what they do. Felt pretty distraught earlier on after what happened regarding ending up inside some poles and near rubberbanding and everything has felt uplifting since getting in contact.

CMDR Titan and rest of the company, the world needs more you. Respect.

Good for you! The support staff are great, aren't they? They helped me out a couple of times.

(And if this thread turns sour, I suggest that the OP request it closed.)

The support staff are just doing their job, and they're great, but OP really shouldn't have been compensated. He lost his ship purely through his own mistakes - first one being flying without the money to cover insurance, second being a docking mistake. It's not very "Dangerous" if you can just contact support when your own poor planning and decision backfire on you.

So, what happened?
Just a bit confused is all.

Got attached to some poles and it wouldn't let me detach like it glitched, i thought it was game over until a poster suggested contacting staff to look into it. I wonder if the servers record and they watched what happened.

Glad it worked out for you

Thanks mate.

Yeah man, the development team have certainly excelled.

Ok, but maybe next time you lose a ship to pilot error remember your comment rather than posting a rant saying how useless they are =-I

I'm glad you feel better and have not quit, however I'm not glad that this is what support time is (yet again) being wasted on. People need to harden up and accept responsibility for their errors, way too much 'oh no I screwed up TICKET!' stuff appearing onthe forums at the moment.

Yeah bud, i see you know how it feels. Repped you aswell sir. Not sure whats up with the other 2 negative posters in this thread, they're acting as if i cheated. I still ended up with a negative wanted status, forcing me to move elsewhere.

Nobody acted as if you've cheated. I mean, you took the easy way out of a situation that was your fault alone, but you're well within your rights to do so. However, FD support's policies are IMO against the spirit of the game. If you get reimbursed for losing your ship when the game was not at fault, then you're actively playing with 0 risk - not very "dangerous".

I told you. The sour grapes crowd will be here! ;-)

It's not negativity and it's not the "sour grapes crowd". It just sadly seems to be becoming a trend lately (if forum posts are to be believed) that players are now turning to support to refund them for their own mistakes.

If i walked forward into something, you should be expected to walk backwards out of it. That option was taken away from me and i just got stuck. i should have rebounded between the poles, not just got stuck inside it, if it was something that was intended to cause terror to the player then guaranteed i couldn't of got assisted.

If a mod could forward my thanks to staff that would be great because then this topics already served its purpose. Unfortunately it wouldn't just let me respond to him after he closed it, just wanted to make my thanks and appreciation clear.

It's nice that the dev's on here arn't embracing a troll environment just because its pvp. I had some serious doubts due to gameplay.

Can I get back all I've spent on insurance claims. It was never my fault either...

Must have always been a bug.

Yeah, when I lost that PvP battle - it really bugged me.

Where's my refund? Waaaa

Yep. The sour grapes crowd are out in force tonight. Go for a walk.

How is it a mistake of his own doing if he hit a glitch/bug in the game which resulted in him losing everything? I am sure if he had lost his ship through collision into a structure, side of a letterbox or pvp etc he would not of been reimbursed. I to have got stuck in the cage outside the letterbox, not stuck as in hit it side ways and lodged my ship in there, I mean simply scraping against them and then the ship glitches into the bars. A guy has come on here to say TY for getting his ship back etc and some people just want to put a negative spin on what I see as a very nice thing to say from the op.

I've had the same problem - when I had a Python I got it stuck in the outside wall of a Coriolis station. Tried to wriggle free, eventually blew up.

I didn't really care since this was during the weekend of insane smuggling profits, but the OP isn't wrong; it felt pretty glitchy to me.
