Great Job on PP2

I just want to say great job to the devs on PP2. I started elite dangerous intrigued by the power play element but quickly found it dull and so became super uninterested as time went on.
PP2, however, allows me to just play a variety of game loops not just move 10 boxes every 30 mins or shoot others.
It has also integrated several otherwise disjoint game mechanics. For instance, today I'm taking it easy and just rescuing blokes. For example, I am using the system scanner way more than probably any time before.

You can trade (well once the bug is fixed), bounty hunt (if you want), rescue people, transport boxes, fix station ad signs?.
Its cool.
Really helps, too that half of your work isn't instantly erased each week.

Its a solid start, certainly. The underpinnings are fantastic and will slot in nicely with colonization.

However PP2 needs drastic rebalancing, with some aspects being broken (such as PvE combat).

Its a huge improvement. I can now play and gain merits without being limited to a very small subset of activities in specific locations.

My only issue so far was waltzing into an enemy power system with propaganda and no power NPCs even scanned me. I just put auto-dock on and went in.

I think the moment you approach an enemy power's station they should be scanning you. Not necessarily attacking unless they have a reason, but if they find you have reason to go for you, for example, carrying propaganda materials, then they should be opening fire. This would necessitate silent running or going in fast.

Yup I been running stuff from deep within enemy territory (hostile) and apart from the odd scan, haven't been attacked once.
But this ranking up will take along time which l guess is their intention.

Some things are better, but some are worse. Definitely not having to pledge power X to get module Y is good, and overall reward tree, also nice to see more value in rares trading and salvage stuff, but at the same time, I feel that lost link betwean PMF and PP economy, is an attempt to simplify system, rather than adding gameplay options, yet I understand that for some powers, it was PITA and not very immersive exeriance, like Hudson pushing imperial factions, but I will be missing pushing corps to facilitte expansions and all those big BGS wars and confict zones. Trade taken away from BGS and moved to PP 2.0 is not great either, FD could achive same, with adding more PP cargo and vary supply and demand for those new goods.

I like what I see for pp2. However I will wait and see what, if any, balance changes and updates are done to exploration/exbio data, commodity trading, etc. All those things are important and not all are working or balanced with other activities right now
