Great spot for polonium near WP2

Omega Sector SY-R B4-6 C 1 has three biological POIs (bark mounds), and they have phloem excretions (up to 5 per POI).
Yttrium, biological POIs at Omega Sector DL-Y D183 A 1
Ruthenium, biological POIs at Omega Sector DL-Y D183 A 2.
Antimony: Omega Sector KC-V C2-6 BC 1 - geological (10), biological (1)
Technetium: Omega Sector KC-V C2-6 BC 2 - geological (6), biological (3)

When shot, these have a 100% chance of dropping Polonium. Have visited two of the three POIs, getting 5 x 3 Polonium from each site.

Just thought I'd share this with the CMDRs as Polonium is considered difficult to get otherwise. Make sure to visit in Solo so you get a fresh instance, takes a few days for the phloem excretions to respawn.

Yeah, all bio and geo sites will give High grade mats related to planetary makeup. Watch out for the Crystal Shards when we get near BP - they have crazy, crazy mat drops - far more than you will ever need.

Not at that location. I'll post here if I find a similarly good planet with POIs that can be prospected for Antimony.

EDIT: Similar good place for Yttrium, biological POIs at Omega Sector DL-Y D183 A 1, you can get 15+ Yttrium per POI if you visit. Same procedure as for the Polonium entry above.

I'll have to check my stores. I know I had tons of Polonium left over from Distant Stars. Not sure about Yttrium. Need to stretch my legs in the SRV a bit anyway. Thanks for the heads up!

I went here this morning before work so didn't have much time there. First time I've been to a biological site.

I shot a plant type thing growing at the base of one of the bark mounds but nothing dropped from it. Is there a special way of harvesting these things?

Did a fragment fly off? If not you want to try another angle (and in turret mode) - the mats can be difficult to dislodge.

So basically I'm a bad shot! :p I didn't see anything fly off.

I'll give it another go, and in turret mode, this evening when I get back from work. Thanks for the reply.

Yes, Crystalline Shards are amazing. The ones I found had maybe 50 (or more) targets and all of them were Polonium.
