Great!

I spend the last Days of unlocking all needed Engineers up to Palin to finaly upgrade my Cargo Hold to Corrosive Resistant ones.
Turns Out: You only get 1 or 2t Resistant Cargo Holds. So i got to rebuid my Anaconda. :(

Then i spend hours fininding one Unknown Probe and one Unknown Artifact.
This Session i finaly got to a Alien Base / Mothership whatever Site.
It was Amazing.
I Transfered the Unknown Devices into my SRV, got inside, placed the Devices in their Places
and went getting the third Link one.

Well, i wanted to...
Server Kicked me out with a Connection Error. Devices were gone. Great!
Now i can Spend more Hours till i find another two Devices and make all that stuff again....

Thank you Frontier! :(

This isn't a bug, this is the damn online structure of the Game.
I wasn't making a particular thing as i got thrown out of the game.
I put those devices there a minute before this and hadn't even found the Link Room.

Maybe it was a hickup at my provider, an IP Change or something on my side. Then it isn't really a bug at all.
What bothers me is that the game put me outside of the structure, without remembering the state i had (me inside, devices put) before the connection loss.
Yeah, maybe you could consider this a Bug.

Nevermind.
I'm just salty about this accident spoiled my fun with all that Alien Stuff.

It's like you enjoy a long awaited movie and then the cinema has a black out in the middle of the film, and you have to go home because of this.
You get replacement tikets and a free one on top for the inconvenience, but the evning is ruined anyway.
The movie is also, because it's just not the same watch it knowing the half of it.
(This actually happend to me with Rogue One.)

Yeah, Biowaste happens.

Yes, quite understandable... except the fact that Rougue One is a bad film anyway. lol

Yesterday we tried a pvt. group event and the game crashed most of us repeatedly, I myself had at least a half dozen crash report screens. Further, it happened in all phases, open, solo and pvt. group.

We gave up on the event but still had a good time on our discord voice comms talking about it!

Coming to expect issues as just part of the game.

OxKing - you need to practise that "salty" behaviour. Your rightly annoyed by what happened, but responded reasonably to suggestions in the thread. You really need to "get gut" at being salty, you came across far too reasonable.

Repped for your choice of name for the Corvette; Monsarrat would be proud. My FGS is also called Compass Rose, admittedly not a Corvette, but I felt its brutal ugliness reflected the WW2 Corvette quite nicely.

Does yours have a thuggish, Australian First Lieutenant? Mine has recently come down with a mysterious stomach complaint...

One of my favorite fictional accounts for the Battle of the North Atlantic, have re-read it several times.

Bangers and mash, left him dry on Maia without a recommendation.;)

I was a bit demoralised by the Alien Base too. All the time to get the UA & UP (which took a long time), then I travel down to check out one of the bases. Look up how to do it etc, drop off the UA & UP but no UL spawning at all! Drive around and around, nothing .. so decide it might need a relog .. relog and get booted outside of the structure, which I can now not enter again because my UA & UP are already in the machine. All up it was probably 5-6hrs over the weekend, for a rather disappointing end. After the buggy Alien Ruins now this, I just have no motivation to give it another go. :(

I was also demoralized by the bugs (game bugs, not Thargoids).

I was hit by the "don't transfer UA/UP from ship to SRV or it will crash" bug. Fine. Some forum exploring, and I found the work around and got them into the SRV.

Got inside, placed the UA/UP, and picked up a unknown biologic as I explored the interior. I found the UL chamber, figured out I had to shoot them to get them (how typical), and then dropped the unknown biologics to make room for the UL. Got the "unrecoverable error on transaction server" Crash.

Respawn outside, can't get in, yada yada... Now 5 days later when I feel like bothering again, I went to get another UP and have been hit by the "we don't feel like spawning a UP for you" 'tude of the game. Wasted 2 hrs in 2 different systems trying to get one. I even tried the Cannon "method" for maximizing chances of USS. Nothing. A couple distress USS, etc, but no Degraded 2 USS.

Now I'm playing Ark: Survival Evolved.

Stuff like that is what demotivates people to even play the game, let alone something specific like the Alien stuff. And I have ~ 2500 hrs in ED.

After reading so many posts about people getting disconnected I feel fortunate to have logged over 800 hours without a single disconnect.

You should contact FD Support though. They may be able to put you where you need to be with a couple of devices in your hold.
