Green Glowing... HMC...?

Interesting. A lighting artifact perhaps? Especially given how there's very little light, as seen on your ship screenshots. Let us know the system name when you've sold the data and got the tags, I think plenty would like to check this one out.

Reminds me of how carbon stars give ELWs a green hue, too.

It makes me wonder if it's a rendering issue. Like the old glowing magenta/purple giants. ;)

If FDev managed to sneak in another rare thing for us to find, they're being nice and stealthy by making no mention of it in the planet description. :D

I'd appreciate if someone pops in and checks if this green gremlin is still green. ;) It's not green in SysMap, so I think it's rather a funny lightning bug and not a feature. But who knows...?

My fellow Cmdr made some additional jumps and 212 kLs trip to check this planet and he made a wonderful photo which proves that it's the atmosphere which is green, not the surface itself.

I'll try to make a POI here. Let's see if EDSM gods approve this find. :)

I wonder what it will be like when these become landable, I mean what a hoot stumbling through the thick green fog blindly looking for stuff!

Huh, a green atmosphere? That's really cool! It could still be a rendering bug, affecting just the atmosphere. But if it's not, I wonder what chemistry and/or biology would produce that.

An a slightly related topic, Cool Worlds just did a video on why green stars are physically impossible. Planets don't have the same limitation since they're not dominated by black body radiation. ;)
