Greetings from one of the largest known stars in the galaxy!
How large is the Red Hypergiant, VY Canis Majoris? Welp... Let's take a look:
Here we are at the arrival point after dropping from Frame Shift into Supercruise. As you can see, the star takes up the majority of the view out of my cockpit. But... Wait... It's still over 14,000Ls away!?

After traveling for a good few minutes at over 190c, I slowed down to roughly 160c to take another image at just over 10,000Ls away. At this distance, it takes the light from the surface of the star over 2 hours and 45 minutes to reach me. For comparison's sake. It takes roughly 8 mins and 20 seconds for the light from our own sun in the Sol system to reach earth. VY Canis Majoris is so large that from it's core, the surface of the star would extend all the way beyond Saturn's orbit, if placed in our solar system.

Here I am in a high orbit, scooping up hydrogen fuel at over 50c!

My precious Anny got pretty beat up on the way out here. Let's hope I make it back home safely!
