Grelic Paralysis SPOILER

So I have a nice fat batch of the juicy green relics, but I don't have a fleet carrier - so I'm sort of stuck and can't really do much with all this tasty cargo.

I don't want to just sell them to Palin and Ram Tah because I have a feeling they may be essential mats for tech upgrades.

This means I'm pretty much going to sit out the game until a CG is announced to do something with them, or there is a mini patch that allows us to do something game relevant with them.

This would be the perfect time to let us rent storage space on stations lol!

Until then, I'll check in on the Forum until something happens, otherwise - I'm a fly stuck in green amber.

What are you all doing while we sit and wait with these things?

u don't have an alt?
long ago(Horizons release), I used to store stuff in a t-9 in an alt.

There is no slot yet on carriers for them, so kind don't think they can be stored on anything but a ship, yet.
Someone else may know differently though. there are tricks to squeezing things in.

I do have a couple of alts, but running two instances is a pain. Sold one of my stash to Ram Tah, but no feedback upon sale. Hope I just didn't toss it into the ether.

Considering they made a specific point of removing commodities for engineering, that would be a strange step.

It might be used as an unlock requirement perhaps.

Just sell them for now, and if it turns out they're useful for something else later, make some more.
Making them is quite a project though. It was about 50 jumps to do the loop and get to Ram Tah and still have what I would consider a safe pile for potential unlocks.

Thinking about the Guardian grind, 1 blueprint / relic per module / weapon / fighter - that's a pretty ugly grind.

For the guardian items, I unlocked the FSD booster, Shield booster, and the Module reinforcement. I think those are the recommended ones in order of importance. You don't 'need' any of them. But the FSD booster is almost a need as extra jump range is so useful. I have not unlocked any of the weapons/fighters. At some point I might it all depends on what you want to do right now. No need to do it all at once.

Just make sure you're at the right type of Guardian site. I wasted so much time trying to unlock the FSD booster at a ship blueprint site. That really is the main one you want to get first, though.

Completely agree. I have 2 of the three fighters unlocked, module reinforcements, shield reinforcements, power plant, power distributor, gauss, plasma charger, and shards unlocked for most configurations.

I also have a Salvation versions for 4 medium plasma chargers and 2 smalls. That was a pain in the neck too.

All of that grind was like sticking our finger in an electrical socket as a fiver-year old. Not something I want to do again.

It's useful to have a guardian hull reinforcement as it gives a few % of corrosive damage buff (if you plan to take a guardian missile every once in a while).

Edit: I meant thargoid missile! :D

You can store them on my carrier.
I won't steal them

Assuming you mean caustic missiles... that's just a status effect, caustic resistance doesn't make any difference to it.

The caustic resistance you get from guardian hull is in the same category as thermal/kinetic/explosive resistance, and applies to damage taken from basic thargoid weapons (i.e. thargon laser fire and the interceptor's main cannon). Contrary to what you may hear, they don't do absolute damage - they do caustic damage, which gets reduced by caustic resistance.

Cool I didn't know that, and yes I meant a thargoid caustic missile, not sure if it's worth it now to edit my post! :)

Edit: But I did. :)
