Grey Screen only in HMD view Odyssey

Hi All,

I'm currently experiencing issues with ED in VR in so far as i am unable to play the game in vr as all i am seeing is a grey view in the headset (samsung odyssey).

VR has been working fine for some considerable time, however the last 2 days it has completely stopped.

Steps undertaken so far (uninstall includes all settings and folders):

1. Uninstall Steam VR
2. Uninstall Windows Mixed reality for Steam
3. Uninstall Samsung Odyssey Drivers
4. Uninstall Windows Mixed Reality Portal from Windows 10
5. Update to latest nvidia drivers (for RTX 2080)
6. Install Windows Mixed Reality Portal
7. Install Samsung Odyssey Drivers
8. Install Steam VR
9. Install Windows Mixed Reality for Steam
10. setup room in Windows
11. run Steam VR room setup
12. Attempt to launch ED from both standalone and steam versions... grey screen only in lenses, however view on monitor is fine (no movement of view when moving headset). Steam overlay shows if triggered from VR controller.
13. SteamVR working fine with good tracking.

ALL other VR apps and games I have checked are working correctly. I have deleted both versions of ED from my system (backups of bindings made), and am in the process of re-installing ED.

I'm open to suggestions as this is beginning to annoy me to say the least....

Thanks!

Reinstall of ED hasn’t resolved the issue, however I am also getting the same issue with Subnautica.
running out of options now 🤔

Last resort is clean windows restore, which I’d rather not do.
Seeing lots of google searches referencing grey screens but this relates to Vive.

I would now try to get a display on anyone elses PC. Isolate whether you have a problem with the headset. It's a pain, I know but at least you will get an idea.

Had a little play today and noticed that once the game is launched, going into steam settings and selecting quick calibration immediately brings ED to the hmd screen, (exact same effect for Subnautica) although the position of the view is out i.e. too high. It is possible to alter the view with steamVR via openvr advanced settings, however this needs to be done for each launch of ED and any binding I set for HMD position reset are NOT working... I’ve run through the windows room setup and the steamVR room setup so there should be data available but still the problem persists. I have tried all combinations of steamVR and Windows Mixed reality for Steam BETA and release versions as well as different NViDIA drivers....
This is definitely a software issue. I suspect a configuration or registry issue..... may be one for the SteamVR windows mixed reality gurus to give some advise.

If anyone has any ideas, I’d appreciate the recommendations. Thanks.
