Grid Lines? Or something of interest?

Hi Cmdrs, I have been spending the evening exploring a planet and found some new Biology and Geographic's and in the process, I notice on my SRV's monitor what to me look like very poor grid lines. The thing is that they seem to move about, not a lot but move they do and I was wondering what they are? Any ideas? I have put a red arrow to what I mean in the attached picture. Oh and its in Odyssey.

It's just an artefact of how planets are generated. They're basically generated in chunks of increasing detail that divide as you approach. What you are seeing is the edges of the highest possible detail chunks.

I think it's just an artefact of the way that planet surfaces are generated (with tiles), and then how the results of that process are represented on the scanner.

Further to this thread, I found out by accident and to hopefully add to the answer that my Sensor was zoomed right in. When I zoomed out the grid lines vanished. o7

They should fix them or make then proper lines. They could by removing the artefacts and adding an actual line to hide them and merge the two nice pixels either side as an average. Or something
