Griefed time and time again

Argghh.... Enough with the griefing please!

I wander around the Galaxy minding my own business buying and occasionally selling Food canisters and watching my Credits increase by 100Cr per hour... I'm really pleased with the trading and doing well. As in the original game I reckon I'll have my first beam laser equipped after a couple of months.

Anyway my problem is this, it's never happened before at Lave or Diso or Orerve but when I try to dock at Chango, Azeban or any of the others in the Bootis system I encounter problems. In fact I am being griefed by the stations! :mad:

As with Lave, Diso etc I align myself with the station entrance but once I enter the station itself the problems begin... While looking for my landing pad I hang around and watch other ships come and go... After a while the station decides it doesn't like me and starts killing me for no reason at all! :mad:

I don't understand it, my cargo's legal and I haven't shot at the station at all and yet they all do this to me time and time again! I don't want to play this game anymore if the griefers are going to be allowed to continue without punishment and for no reason!

I've had enough now....!

I'm OUT!

PS I've not seen a Python, Krait or Fer-de-Lance yet either.... So disappointed :(

Although this OP is based on sarcasm.... For those who don't know the mechanics.... you need ot request docking before entering a station.

Maybe we need to form a clan to stop this horrendous problem.
As with all good plans we need a name first.
I suggest the "pink marigolds".......

This is not griefing. The station is allowed to attack you because it's a sandbox.

The game is in Beta and the station is CLEARLY TESTING within the confines of the SANDBOX

To understand griefing better please scratch and reveal the following suggestion

Oh and by the way if you are in a small ship when you undock can you please stay out of my way when I'm entering or leaving the docking port.

I'm not greifing you, I just can't see you till the last moment, and then I have absolutely no way of stopping the inertial inevitability that is my huge hull.

It really sets my nerves on end to hear your tin foil hull crumpling and screeching as it gets crushed between my ship and the docking port walls.;)

Station vs Player can be dangerous. Don't blame the station if you can't handle it. If you don't like SvP maybe settled systems just aren't for you. In the final game you can go hide in unsettled systems with only other players for company.

Interestingly, I remember a similar problem in the old Elite. If I flew at the space station entrance without asking first, they did not open the port for me. Pretty rude, really.

It's end content. Sidewinders are clearly DPS ships, while Anacondas are tanks. So he needs a good group where the Anaconda holds the Stations aggro. Still trying to figure out how to heal with a Cobra... Can't find the healing beams anywhere.

Players who vote kick stations should not be allowed to play in the same universe with those who have to deal with them. They have a clear competitive edge.

I found the station gets very uppity if you hang around in the glowing slot for too long. Unfortunately, I found out the hard way as I had somehow managed to get stuck in the bird cage outside the slot, so while trying to reverse I got a "get lost or die" type message and it was followed up with a number of laser blasts.
