Griefed time and time again

Argghh.... Enough with the griefing please!

........

I've had enough now....!

You were lucky.

For significant periods of Premium Beta the station would just c-a-d on me and leave the instance when I was about to solo the entrance. No-good combat-loggers who have no sense of the inherent competition in life. I think railguns need a little more buffing so I can teach these damn stations a lesson.

I've been ganked more times by these bleedin' stations than those Haulers full of P-cells leaving Aulin are ever ganked by Anacondas!

You are absolutely right and we have to do something about those damn griefing Coriolis stations. I'm putting them all on my ignore list. And let's not forget stars and planets, oh they are the worst of their kind... so obviously orbiting in a way to block me every single time I'm in a supercruise. Ignore list, check!

I've had similar problems with their endless spinning. It looks like a hack to me. I can't spin for anywhere near that long, they make it look like no problem at all. When are FD going to tighten things up around here and stop the hubs cheating in such a blatantly unfair way???!!!

What is this spinning thing?

See yah!

What are you lot talking about?

Sry could not be ***** to read the whole diabolical thread.

Moan moan moan. Get a spreadsheet.
Then you can see your numbers get big with no risk.

Its all reset on the 29th.
What are you all on about?
La,laa laaa.

The spinning thing can be easily fixed, I found. One just angles the joystick slightly and the big die in the sky stops spinning. Unfortunately the rest of the world starts spinning instead, but let's deal with the problems one at the time...

You just need to find the exhaust port - it's a small port located on the exterior of the station, and it's the only vulnerable spot. You'll need to navigate down a long trench to get to it, then fire your torpedoes into the opening. This will make the station disappear.

Torpedoes - there is torpedoes? Which station can I hax them at? Giev!

Anyway, that whole trench thing just sounds too much like hard work, like something out of a movie or something - y'know like weird voices in your head and that. Much better to stick to stations that don't have proper defenses.

I just need the station to stop combat logging on me so I can kill it properly. That's so unfair, 'cos those stats are really important to my lulz! What good is a space game if you can't kill the stations and own the system?

And then when I is docking (y'know, 4 pips engines with full boost through the slot an' that for lulz), it kinda strafes or rotates the slot too fast and wftpwns me with walls that have like +1000 armour bonus. That must be a hax.

So not only is that station like cheating to avoid dying, but then it kills me back. I'm going to ignore these ten threads on the forum about griefing and make another one so that everyone knows how unhappy I am, and then FD will have no choice but to change it. Cos like it's so clear that the way I play the game is the most important.

Stations? HaXoRz more like!

I have lost more money to the stations than to any of the pilots. The sudden slight movement of the entrance as you fly through it, mashing you into the wall, is one tactic. Another was teaming up with SoupaKrooz to deposit me so close the the outside of a station that the outer edge swung round and hit me.

Conclusion: Trading is far more dangerous than any other career path.

Station vs Player can be dangerous. Don't blame the station if you can't handle it. If you don't like SvP maybe settled systems just aren't for you. In the final game you can go hide in unsettled systems with only other players for company.

Indeed. I think Frontier should add an option so players can flag whether they want to partake in SvP. Not everybody likes being shot by space stations or police; it can really ruin the game.

If Frontier don't add this feature then I think a lot of people will be turned off and won't play.

All humour aside (and the thread delivers on that count ;)) - is publically mocking other posters *really* a great idea?
I can see the potential for people to take it a bit too personally

Who appointed you as a moderator? ;)

If people can't cope with some very light joshing then to be honest they need to go elsewhere...

That's not to say that people do not have a genuine grievance... The post was intended to be purely for fun, and for many it is, and was to be an antidote to the proliferation of so called griefing posts... Most of which are erroneously founded.

As I said these forums almost require a sense of humour for anyone to participate and many of us have managed to retain it despite many of the carping, trolling, entitled, ill-informed posts that have appeared in the past few months.

Right back on topic....

Can we ban this complaining Betty person as well? I think she's behind all this! :D

PS : Glad you DO appreciate the humour. Maybe you should have just left it at that?

Interestingly, I remember a similar problem in the old Elite. If I flew at the space station entrance without asking first, they did not open the port for me. Pretty rude, really.

:D S

You may have got confused. Easy mistake to make really.

Wedding night/playing Elite. I'm sure plenty of people struggle to remember which is which...;)
